죤 듀이의 경험이론으로 무용교육이 아동에게 미치는 영향

Abstract

무용은 인간의 신체 움직임을 표현하는 예술 활동이다. 이는 개인의 사상, 감정, 감각을 기초로 하며, 이런 예술 활동을 통해 얻어지는 여러 가지 가치를 신체 움직임을 통해 표현되는 예술이 무용이라고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 무용을 하기 위해서는 동작을 연구하고, 연구되어진 무용동작을 이해하려면 직접 몸을 움직여 보고 움직이고 있는 신체의 감각을 인지, 비교, 평가가 토대가 되어야 한다. 이와 같은 무용예술의 토대가 될 수 있는 경험을 죤 듀이의 예술철학과 무용교육을 통해 연구해 보고자 한다. 죤 듀이의 철학에 있어 가장 핵심이라 볼 수 있는 “경험”을 살펴보면, 인간은 경험을 통해 순수예술에만 국한된 이론이 아니라 우리가 일상적인 삶에서 예술 경험을 누린다는 것이다. 죤 듀이의 철학을 통해 무용교육에서의 경험을 정리해 보면, 무용에서의 도구가 되는 인간의 신체의 움직임이며 그 중요성을 지적하고 연구하면서 인간의 내면의 감정을 경험을 토대로 움직임의 교육은 정서적 뿐 아니라 인간교육으로서 가장 중요한 영역이 되는 것이다. 무용교육에 있어 창작이라는 수업을 통해 미적향유, 미적경험, 미적지식이 중심이 되는 교육이 되어야 한다. 듀이에게 있어 예술교육은 예술경험을 통해 인간의 삶을 위하고 인격적인 성장과 발전을 도모하는 그런 교육을 말한다. 나아가 이러한 무용교육을 통해 아동에게 더 나은 효과를 위한 무용 교육이 이루어져야 할 것이다.; Dance is the art activity which makes the movements of human bodies expressing media. This the personal expression bases on the personal in history, emotion and senses, like this art activity it leads the art which expresses such through body movements can be called dance. So, to do dance, we should study movement, to be researched, position to understand the dance movements, we should move our bodies by ourselves and we should basically recognize, compare, and estimate the senses of bodies. Hereby, I intend to study the experience which can be the base of dance art through the art philosophy of John Dewey and dance education. To examine the concepts of "experience" which can be considered as the core of John Dewey's philosophy, man through experience not the highbrow theory which is limited only to pure art, but the philosophy which is grounded that we enjoy the art experience in our daily life. To arrange the experience in dance through such art philosophy of John Dewey, the human bodily movements which become the tools in dance indicates the importance and it researches and when the human being it puts out and moves an experience the education emotion only knows a sentiment as human being education most is that becomes the territory where it is important with base. As for Dance education dance creation the study which on the aesthetic enjoyment, aesthetic experience, and aesthetic knowledge. For Dewey, art education means such education that helps human life and promotes the growth and development of whole personality through art experience. Furthermore, as for dance education which for means the dance education for a better effect must become accomplished in the child.
