무의식 개념을 통해 본 무용의 창조성

Abstract

본 연구는 인간의 내면에 잠재되어 있는 정신활동에 대한 융의 무의식 개념을 살펴보고 이러한 분석심리학적 관점에서 무용의 창조성을 고찰하여 그 개념을 정립하는데 목적이 있다. 융의 무의식 개념은 인간의 의식과 무의식을 통틀어 자기(Self)라고 하며, 양극인 의식과 무의식의 통합이야말로 인간의 전체성을 실현하는 것이라고 하였다. 또한 예술가들의 창조를 위한 전체적 정신으로 직관, 느낌, 감각, 사고의 기능이 있다고 했으며 무의식의 창조성을 강조하는 이론적 특징을 갖고 있다. 무용은 인간의 신체를 표현수단으로 하는 창조적 예술이다. 무용창조의 과정에는 감각·사고·형상화의 세 단계가 있다. 이러한 무용창조의 단계와 위의 무의식 개념을 연관 지어 분석하였을 때, 모든 단계에서 무의식과 의식이 반복·순환적으로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 분석심리학적 관점에서 고찰한 무용의 창조성은 무의식의 의식화를 유발한다. 창조의 동기가 되는 인간의 감각은 인간의 무의식을 반영하여 이미지와 상상력을 동원시키고, 이런 의식의 작용을 거쳐 형상화에 이른다. 무용창조의 과정을 통해 이룬 무의식의 의식화는 자기 내면의 균형적인 인지를 가능하게 하며, 의식과 무의식의 통합은 전인적인 인격을 성취하게 됨을 의미한다. 곧, 무용의 창조성은 인격의 성장과 문화적 원천을 성취하게 한다는 것이다.; The purpose of this study lies in examining the concept of the unconscious as to mental activities hidden inside human beings, exploring creativity of dance from a perspective of analytic psychology, and defining the concepts. According to Jung’s concepts of the unconscious, the conscious and the unconscious together construct self, and it is the very combination of the two extremes, the conscious and the unconscious, that realizes human collectiveness. In addition, he suggested that collective mentality for the creativity of artists includes intuition, feelings, senses, and thinking, which is theoretically characterized by the emphasis on the creativity of the unconscious. dance is a creative art using human body as a means of expression. Creation of dance consists of three stages such as sensing, thinking, and embodiment. Analysis of these stages of dance creation in connection with the concepts of the unconscious as mentioned above showed that the unconscious and the conscious work at all stages repeatedly and cyclically. The creativity of dance as examined from such a perspective of analytic psychology causes conscientization of the unconscious. Human senses as a motivation for creation reflect the unconscious of human beings, employing images and imagination, and lead to embodiment through these acts of the conscious. The conscientization of the unconscious achieved through the creative process of dance makes balanced cognition of inner world possible, and the combination of the unconscious and the conscious means the realization of holistic personality. Namely, creativity of dance helps attain personal maturity and cultural sources.
