공급사슬에서 RFID 도입 효과 측정을 위한 ROI 분석

Abstract

공급사슬관리(SCM)는 원재료에서 최종 소비자까지 이르는 모든 물류활동에 관련되는 제품, 정보, 그리고 재무적인 요소들을 관리 감독하는 것이다. 이러한 이유로 SCM은 한 회사 미래의 필수 불가결한 성공 요소로써 작용을 한다. Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) 기술은 현재 미래의 사업에 적용할 혁신적인 시스템으로써 중요한 도구로 여겨지고 있으며, 또한, 대부분 산업의 공급사슬관리를 적용함에 나타나는 많은 제약 및 애로점 들을 제거하고 개선하는데 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 최근 많은 기업들은 그들의 공급사슬의 물자 흐름에 대한 가시성(visibility)과 추적성(traceability)을 향상시키기 위한 방안으로써 RFID 기술을 적용하려는 노력을 하고 있다. 이러한 노력은 그들의 공급사슬에 물리적임 접촉이 없이도 기업이 요구하는 정보의 획득이 가능할 것으로 사료된다. 반면에, 공급사슬에 RFID 기술을 적용하는 것은 많은 시간과 비용을 소모해야 한다. 그리하여, 대부분의 기업들은 글들의 공급사슬에 RFID 기술의 적용하여 나타나는 비용효과가 필요한 것이다. 가장 널리 알려지고 많은 기업들이 사용하고 있는 성과지표로는 ROI(return on investment)를 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 공급사슬에 RFID 기술의 적용 하였을 때 나타나는 ROI값을 분석하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 특히, 공급사슬에 RFID 기술을 적용하여 나타나는 효과에 대한 성과지표를 분석하기 위해 Supply Chain Operations Reference(SCOR) model 을 사용하여 비용분석을 하였다. SCOR model을 사용함으로써 공급사슬관리의 가장 표준적인 프로세스로 RFID 기술의 효과를 분석하였다.; Supply Chin Management (SCM) is the management and control of all materials, information and money in the logistics process from acquisition of raw material to delivery to the end user. SCM is essential to firm's future success, even survival. Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is currently used as the important tool for a new innovative system in the future business applications and will help eliminate many obstacles that most industries face in managing their supply chain. Recently, many firms consider the application of RFID technology in order to improve the visibility and traceability of material flow in the supply chain. The supply chain with RFID technology can obtain accurate data from an object without physical contact. On the other hand, applying RFID technology to a supply chain must be paid for much time and cost. Therefore, most companies need to analyze the cost-effective about RFID technology in their supply chain. The most widely known key performance indicator, which measures an investment of information technology in many businesses, is return on investment (ROI). In this paper, we propose the methodology for estimating ROI about applying RFID technology to the supply chain. Especially, we use the supply―chain operations reference (SCOR) model in order to make choice of the relevant performance metrics influenced on applying RFID technology to the supply chain.
