대중소기업 기술협력 성과 확대 전략에 관한 연구

Abstract

21세기는 대·중소기업 간의 관계를 바라보는 시각에 대한 전환이 필요한 시점이다. 기존의 '양극화' 내지는 '이중경제'의 시각에서 '상생협력'의 시각으로 전환하여야 한다. 그러나 지금까지 대·중소기업간 협력에 대한 다양한 정책과 연구결과들이 존재하지만, 기술협력만을 초점으로 한 연구는 매우 희소하였다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 한국의 대·중소기업 간 현실을 고려하여 대·중소기업 간의 대안적 관계 형성의 필요성 및 이에 따른 정책적 대안 제시의 시급성이라는 문제인식으로부터 출발하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 이 연구에서 '대·중소기업 간 양극화'를 문제인식의 축으로서 전혀 고려하지 않겠다는 것을 의미하지는 않았다. 이 연구에서 추구하는 바는 양극화라는 현실적 격차를 줄일 수 있는 동력을 기존에 제시된 '대·중소기업 상생기술협력'에서 그 대안을 모색하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 대기업에 대한 신뢰와 중소기업의 역량이 대·중소기업간 기술협력 성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한, 대기업에 대한 신뢰와 중소기업의 역량이라는 독립변수와 종속변수인 기술협력 성과 사이에서 중소기업의 몰입과 대기업의 협력활동 수준이 미치는 매개효과를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 신뢰와 역량, 몰입에 대한 선행연구를 고찰하여, 연구모형을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 자동차, 전자, 기간산업을 중심으로 설문을 실시하였다. 설문은 전국의 하도급 기업들을 대상으로 실시하였다. 설문회수 방식은 응답율을 높이기 위해 우편, e-mail, 팩스 등 다양한 방법을 활용하였다. 설문은 업종별로 300부씩 총 900부를 배포하였으며, 3월 5일부터 설문을 실시하였다. 설문 회수는 2차에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 1차 회수에서는 256부를 확보하였고, 2차 회수에서는 유효표본 기준 392부를 회수하였다. 전체적으로 43.6%의 회수율을 보였다. 연구결과를 보면, 대기업에 대한 신뢰와 중소기업의 역량이 기술협력성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 중소기업의 몰입도와 대기업의 협력활동 수준은 독립변수로서도 기술협력 성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 중소기업의 몰입도의 매개변수로서 역할을 보면, 대기업의 신뢰 및 중소기업의 역량과 기술협력 성과 사이를 매개하고 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 대기업의 협력활동 수준은 중소기업의 역량과 기술협력 성과 사이를 매개하고 있지만, 대기업의 신뢰와 기술협력 성과 사이에는 매개효과가 검증되지 않았따. 업종별, 노사관계, 시장구조에 따라서 기술협력의 성과 결정요인이 변화되고 있음을 알 수 있다.; At the dawn of 21st century, the perspective of relationship between the large company and small and medium sized enterprise(SMEs) needs to be change. It is necessary that the perapective should be transformed from the 'bi-poarization' or 'dual economy' to the 'win-win cooperation'. Though there has been a lot of research on the cooperation between the large company and SMEs, research focused on technological cooperation is scarce. This research stems from the two problematic thoughts: the need of alternative relationship formation of the large company, timely under Korean business circumstances. Nevertheless, it does not mean that this research will not consider the 'boi-polarization'. This research tries to figure out the driving force that reduces polirizaion gap between the large company and SMEs, but on 'win-win cooperation' in the 21st century's new economy and technology era. This research will examine that the trust of the large company and the capability of SME's will impact on technological cooperation performance of the large company and SMEs. Also, this research will prove that the small firm's commitment and the big firm's cooperation activity level intermediates between the trust of the big firm and the capability of SMEs and technological cooperation performance. Thus, the research model suggested has reviewed literatures on trust, capability and commitment. The survey of this research has been done by vehicles, electronics and infrastructure industries. It targeted subcontractors across the nation. To increase the response rate, utilization of various methods such as post, e-mail and fax were used. The survey began on 5th March; in total, there were 900 surveys given, 300 per industry. Responses were gathered through two phases- on the first phase, 256 came in and on the second, 392. It had an overall response rate of 43.6%. According to the result of this research, it is proven that the trust of the large firms and the capability of the small firm positively influence the technological cooperation performance. Also it has been driven that SME's commitment and large company's coopertaion activity level positively influences the technological cooperation performance as independent variables. The SME's commitment was identified to act as intermediate vatiable among the trust of the big firm and the capability of the small firm and the technological cooperation performance. However, the large company's cooperation activity level was proven to have intermediate effect only between the capability of the small firm and the technological cooperation. performance, not on the trust of large firm and the technological cooperation performance.
