노인의료복지시설에서 휠체어를 이용하는 노인을 위한 화장실의 건축계획에 관한 연구

Abstract

최근 우리나라는 의학기술의 발달과 생활수준의 향상 등으로 노인인구가 증가하여 급격한 속도로 고령사회로 변화하고 있다. 노인인구의 증가는 곧 만성질환을 가진 노인환자의 증가를 의미한다. 그에 따라 전문적인 간호와 물리치료, 정신장애치료, 재활치료, 작업치료 등의 치료를 요하는 노인환자들을 대상으로 전문적 간호와 관련 진료를 실시하는 노인의료복지시설은 급격하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 노인 질환은 한 가지만 생기기보다는 동시에 두 가지 이상의 질병이 발생한다, 증상과 징후의 발현이 비전형적이고, 의학적 단독 접근으로는 치료가 어려우며, 반드시 의학, 정신사회학, 사회복지학, 경제 등의 전반적인 접근에 의하여야만 치료가 가능하고. 만성적으로 퇴행하는 특성을 가지고 있어 일반질병과는 다른 형태의 의료 서비스를 요하고 있다. 특히 복합장애의 형태와 장기적이고 완치가 힘든 만성적 질병을 보유하고 있는 경우가 많아 독립적으로 일상생활을 영위할 수 없기 때문에 타인의 수발을 필요로 한다. 이러한 노인질환의 특성에 의하여 여러 가지 간병 유형과 간병인 제도가 연구되고 만들어지고 있으며 노인환자의 여러 가지 활동 행태에서도 일반적 장애인과는 다른 타인의 수발에 의한 행태적 특성을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구에서 노인전문의료시설의 화장실에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 파악하고 해결하기 위해, 노인환자의 행태적 특성을 관찰조사와 면접조사를 통하여 분석하고, 휠체어를 사용하는 일반적 장애인의 행태적 특성과 비교하여 그에 따라 발생하는 차이를 통하여 노인환자에게 적합한 이상적인 화장실 계획기준을 제안 하였다.; Because of the advanced medical science and improved standard of living, the number of aged people are increasing then our societies are getting into an aging society rapidly. Increase of aged people means that we can have increasing aged inpatients who are suffering chronic diseases, which can cause impaired functioning easily. Then it is urgent for us to get more geriatrics hospitals and welfare facilities for the aged who need special attendance, patterning, psychosurgery, remedial treatment, etc to give them proper attendance and treatments. In case of geriatric diseases, they are liable to have more than 2 diseases not only one kind generally. And the symptoms and warnings of them are not typical, It is not easy to cure them with only medical treatment then with total cooperation of medical, psycho-sociology, social welfare and economics etc, proper treatment can be given. Geriatric diseases need to have different style of treatment from general diseases because of their degenerative specialty chronical. Especially there are a lot more cases that they are multi-handicapped and have chronical diseases which need long term treatment and is difficult to be cured then they can not live separately and need to have other's attendance. With these kinds of geriatric diseases' specialty, various nursing type and systems about a person tending the sick are being investigated and prepared. In the activity behavior of geriatrics, they show different behavior from other disabled because of being taken care of from others. In this study, to recognize and solve the problems that can be occurred in the toilet of geriatric hospitals, behavior specialties of geriatrics are analyzed through observation and interview survey. We suggest the standard toilet planning which is suitable for geriatrics compared with general disabled using invalid chairs then finding the differences between them.
