정신분열병 환자의 연구 참여 의도

Abstract

서론: 본 연구의 목적은 인구학적인 변인과 임상적인 특성이 정신분열병 환자를 대상으로 흔히 시행되는 연구에 참가하고자 하는 의도에 어떤 영향이 있는지를 알아보기 위함이다. 방법: 34명의 정신분열병의 진단을 받은 외래 환자가 이 연구에 참가하였다. 연구팀이 만든 가상의 4가지 연구 과제인 단순 설문지 연구, 유전학 연구, 시간 소요 연구, 그리고 약물 연구에 대한 참가 의도와 함께 일반인구학적인 변인과 임상적인 특성이 수집되었다. 각각의 연구에 대해서 참가 의도에 따라서 두 군으로 구분하고 일반 인구학적, 임상적 특성들을 비교하였다. 결과: 단순 설문지 연구를 제외한 다른 연구들에 대한 참가 여부는 서로 간에 유의한 상관성을 나타내었다. 약물 연구의 경우, 나이가 적고 교육 수준이 높은 환자들은 참가하지 않으려는 경향이 있었다. 단순 설문지 연구의 경우 현재의 치료자에게 치료받은 기간이 길었던 환자들은 참가하지 않는 경향이 있었다. 결론: 정신분열병 환자에 있어서, 나이와 교육 수준은 연구 과제가 잠재적인 위험성을 지니고 있는 연구인 경우에 연구 참가에 영향을 주는 요인이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 보다 많은 대상자로 다양한 임상 변인을 포함한 후속 연구가 본 연구 결과를 다시 확인하는 데 필요할 것이다.; Introduction: The goal of present study is to know this question, ‘what demographic and clinical factors affect the intention to participate in commonly conducted researches in patients with schizophenia?’ Methods: Thirty-four outpatients with diagnosis of schizophrenia were enrolled in this study. They were asked whether they had intention to participate in four imaginary research subjects- simple questionnaire, genetic, complex tasks, and drug study subjects. Demographic and clinical variables were gathered. We analyzed the relationship between the intention to participate in researches and other demographic or clinical variables. Results: On the risky study, younger and higher educated patients are not tended to willingly participate in research. On the simple questionnaire study, patients with longer duration of the regular physician follow-up are not tended to willingly participate in research. There were no statistically differences between study-agreement patients and study-disagreement patients. Conclusion: Age and education levels would be possible factors influencing on participating in risk-taking researches in schizophrenia. Further studies are needed to confirm and expand the current findings.
