Abstract
면세 사업이 관광산업에서 차지하는 비중이 급격히 성장하고 있음에도 불구하고 인력의 전문화가 뒤떨어져 있어 인력의 전문화를 통하여 규모의 성장에 맞는 질적인 성장을 이루기 위해 제도적인 문제점을 알아보고 면세점 근무자들이 대학에서 배운 교과정이 실무에 얼마나 관여하고 있는지 검증하고, 분석하여 면세점 근무 전문 인력 양성을 위한 교육과정을 제시하고 이를 통한 면세점 전문 인력 개발에 관한 방안을 제시하고자한다.; Tourism is an service and hospitality industry, therefor the need to raising professionals for the tourism industry is vital in making tourism a more valued business. Especially the area of duty-free shopping is a way of being able maintain physical evidence of the tour, thus requiring a structured system of raising professionals for the industry. This research identifies the lack of professionalism of the workers in the duty-free shopping industry compared to the importance of it in the tourism industry. The inappropriateness of the higher-education of workers to the real industry is identified and analysed to pose solutions to raising the professionals that are suitable for the duty-free shopping industry. A whole variant analysis was done to find ways to supply the industry with appropriate professionals the theory of duty-free shopping, education of service, understanding of the industry situation both national and international, basing tourism departments of colleges to analyse the level of professionalism and the relation of the ability of workers to the degree and education they receive from college. Also the necessity of the related education and support of corporations in the industry affecting the difference of each worker in the industry was analysed also. The result of the first research constructed shows that statistics of social understanding of the profession, work satisfaction, pursuit of service specialization and some other topics have attentive difference. First, the graduates of tourism majors show higher social understanding, work satisfaction and effort to specialize than graduates of non-tourism majors. In every field, except the satisfaction of work graduates of 4-year university showed higher result than technical colleges, but the graduates of technical colleges showed higher work satisfaction than the graduates of 4-year university and showed attentive difference statistically. In the second research structured, graduates of tourism-major showed higher result in appearance, service manner, foreign language skill, sales skill and professionalism than non tourism-major graduates but did not show much significant difference. Appearance, service manner, sales skill, team work and professionalism did not show much difference depending on the major of the worker, but graduates of 4-year university showed better foreign language skill than the graduates of technical colleges. In the third research constructed period of work and major in college shoed attentive difference in perception of applying to a duty-free shop. The level understanding of government support for professionalizing workers in the industry is noticeable based on different age group and major in college, along with satisfaction of the education in college. Service manner was identified as the most needed subject in duty-free major of technical colleges, followed by Japanese, complaints dealing, English, customer psychology, marketing, and customer behavior in order. But the eligibility qualification of sales and management in the duty-free industry was not shown to be wanted by the workers. The development of education in technical college, support of government and corporation effort necessary based on actual analysis for development of professionals in the duty-free industry along with a basic module was stated. The increase in size of duty-free shopping needs more professionals and for the development of those workers, the shift in social understanding that duty-free shops are a venue of tourism needs to be established. Education of technical colleges need to develop into a higher education system that is specialized and more practical to produce human resource wanted by corporations for competition. Also the government must introduce a qualification system or mandatory regular education and adjust duty-free limit to support the industry develop in quality.
