Abstract
Ideas about a duality between gauge fields and strings have been around for many decades. During the last ten years, these ideas have taken a much more concrete mathematical form. String descriptions of the strongly coupled dynamics of semi-realistic gauge theories, exhibiting confinement and chiral symmetry breaking, are now available. These provide remarkably simple ways to understand some aspects of hardron physics. In this thesis, we consider chiral condensation at finite temperature via AdS/CFT. We first obtain some knowledge of AdS/CFT correspondence and review the recent papers related to Hawking-Page transition and gluon condensation in detail. In doing so, we can much better understand chiral condensation at finite temperature. Finally, we see the results of analytic and numerical method calculation for massive case and discuss some properties of the solution.
