이돈응 작곡 "세 대의 양금을 위한 서양노래" 분석

Abstract

<세 양금을 위한 서양노래>를 분석하면서 곡의 이해를 위해 작곡가 이돈응의 작품세계와 양금의 전래과정에 대해 연구하였으며, <세 양금을 위한 서양노래> 분석과 함께 전통양금과 이 곡에서 쓰인 양금의 음역과 조현법의 차이에 대해서도 분석 연구하였다. 전통양금에서는 E♭, F, G, A♭, B♭, C, D♭ 7개음을 조율하여 사용하였으나, 이 곡에서 작곡가 이돈응은 조현법의 한계를 딛고 보다 자유로운 음의 구사를 위해 새로운 조현법을 적용하여 E♭, F, F♭, C, C♭, D, D♭, G, G♭, B♭, A♭ 등의 11개음으로 조율하여 사용하였다. 이 작품은 리듬 및 템포의 변화, 양금 1, 2, 3의 역할에 따라 서로 대비되는 첫 단락(A)과 둘째 단락(B), 그리고 이 두 요소의 발전으로 표현 의도가 분명히 드러나는 셋째(A') 단락과 넷째 단락(B'), 종결부분(A - B - A' - B' - Coda)로 구성되어 있다. 리듬에 있어서는 전통적인 국악장단의 사용은 없으며 2분할, 3분할 리듬을 특징적으로 사용하는데 음형의 축소, 확대, 변형 등 철저히 서양음악적 사고로 구성되어 있으며, 악곡의 짜임새로는 국악의 대표적 짜임새인 헤테로포니를 배제하고 서양음악의 대표적 짜임새인 호모포니와 폴리포니를 취하고 있는데, 단락 A, A'에서는 양금 1이 주선율이고 양금 2, 3이 반주역할을 하는 호모포니 짜임새를 취하고 있다. 단락 B, B'은 여전히 양금 1이 주요성부이기는 하나 양금 2, 3이 개별적 혹은 함께 응답하는 폴리포니 짜임새다. 종결부인 Coda는 양금 1, 2, 3이 앞 단락에 비해 보다 대위적인 폴리포니 짜임새를 보인다. 작곡자는 음의 공간성에 염두를 두고 이 곡을 작곡 하였는데, 양금 1, 2, 3의 성부 구성, 즉 짜임새를 달리함으로써 공간 분할과 이동을 명확히 하고 있다. 성부가 같이 진행할 때도 리듬 분할을 통해 함께 가지만 미세하게 엇갈리도록 구성하였다.; While I was analyzing <A Western Song for Three Yangkum>, I also studied on the composer of this song, Donoung Lee's art and the introduction procedure of Yangkum to understand his song properly. Together with the analysis on <A Western Song for Three Yangkum>, I also analyzed and studied traditional Yangkum and the difference between register of Yangkum and tuning method used in this song. In the traditional Yangkum, 7 notes including E♭, F, G, A♭, B♭, C, D♭ were tuned and used in the song. However, in this song, composer Donoung Lee overcame the limit of these notes and used a new tuning method of tuning 11 notes that include E♭, F, F♭, C, C♭, D, D♭, G, G♭, B♭, A♭ in this song to make full use of the notes. This song includes changes in rhythm and tempo, and it is composed of first verse (A) and second verse (B) that is correlated according to the role of Yangkum 1, 2, 3, and third verse (A'), fourth verse (B'), final verse (A - B - A' - B' - Coda) that show the composer's forms of expression with the development of first and two verses. The peculiar rhythm of Korean classical music is not used in this song. In this song, 2 split and 3 split rhythm is used specially and reduction, expansion, transformation of the figure is addressed in the Western musical method. This musical piece excluded the representative structure of Korean classical music, heterophony, and adopted the representative structure of Western music, homophony and polyphony. It is made of homophony structure that uses Yangkum 1 as the main melody in verse A, A' and uses Yangkum 2, 3 as the accompaniment. Although Yangkum 1 is still the main part in verse B, B', it is made of polyphony structure where Yangkum 2 and 3 reply individually or simultaneously. In the final verse of the song, Coda, Yangkum 1, 2, 3 are showing relatively subrogate polyphony structure compared to earlier verses. The composer considered extensity of the note when he was composing this song. He clarified the division and movement of space by differentiating the structure of Yangkum 1, 2, 3. So when the parts are progressed together, they progress together through division of rhythm, but actually there is a delicate alternation between them.
