코스닥 상장기업의 경영층 윤리 의식행동, 윤리제도, 기업특성, 기업성과에 관한 실증연구

Abstract

엔론 사태, 나이키社의 아동착취 등의 사건을 통해 윤리경영의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 과거와 달리 윤리경영에 대한 인식과 실행이 높아지기는 했지만, 아직도 아쉬운 것이 우리 기업들의 실정이다. 또한, 윤리경영에 대한 연구들이 대기업을 중심으로 이루어지고 있어, 벤처기업에 대한 윤리경영 연구가 부족하다. 현재 벤처기업은 과거 경제성장을 주도해왔던 산업경제시대를 대체할 지식경제시대의 도래를 촉진시키고 있고, 디지털ㆍ인터넷 및 글로벌 시대의 다양한 흐름과 복합되면서 새로운 패러다임으로 그 중요성을 더해가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 코스닥 상장기업 980개에 설문을 배포하여, 회수된 110개 업체를 대상으로 경영층 윤리 의식행동과 윤리경영 제도화의 관계, 코스닥 상장기업의 특성과 경영층 윤리 의식행동이 어떤 관계에 있는지, 경영층 윤리 의식행동과 기업성과에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 실증 분석하였다. 분석결과 경영층의 윤리 의식행동과 윤리제도와는 (+)의 상관관계가 있음으로 나타났다. 또한, 경영층의 윤리 의식행동이 기업의 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 코스닥 상장 기업의 여러 특성(고객집단, 창립연도, 기업규모, 지배구조, 당기순이익)에 따라 경영자 윤리 의식행동에 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이를 통해 우리 코스닥 상장기업의 윤리경영 수준이 성숙단계로 더 나아가야 함을 알 수 있었다.; This paper consist of three major part. The first topic is relations between executive's moral awareness/behavior and moral system. The second part analyses relevance between executive's moral awareness/behavior and firm characteristics. The third section shows relevancy between moral awareness/behavior and firm performance. This study distributed a sample of 980 questionnaires and obtained the 110 questionnaires from KOSDAQ(Korea Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) listed firms. This research find significant relevance between executives's moral awareness/behavior and moral system. And this article also obtain significant relevancy between executives's moral awareness/behavior and firm performance. Whereas, between executive's moral awareness/behavior and firm characteristics show insignificance. We finally conclude our KOSDAQ listed firms is not matured for ethics management.
