라벨의 <5개의 그리스 민요>에 대한 분석

Abstract

그레고리안 성가로부터 현대에 이르기까지 서양음악은 많은 변화와 발전을 거치는데, 특히 성악곡에 있어서 피아노 반주의 형태는 눈에 띄게 변하였다. 바로크 시대의 성악곡에 있어서 피아노 반주의 역할은 단순한 코드로 노래 선율을 보조하는 것으로 역할을 다하지만, 고전시대와 낭만주의 시대를 거쳐 현대에 이르면서 작곡가들은 피아노 반주가 단순히 성악 파트를 도와주는 것뿐만 아니라 하나의 독립적인 파트로서의 위치를 확립해준다. 낭만주의 시대의 Schubert와 Schumann에 의해 피아노 반주의 중요성이 인식되고, 특히 Schumann은 그 자신이 피아니스트여서 피아노 파트에 더 많은 비중을 두고 작곡하였다. Wolf에 와서는 시와 음악이 완벽하게 일치하면서 노래와 반주가 완벽하게 대등한 형식을 갖추게 되었고 멜로디나 화음들도 많이 발전하고 다양한 재료들이 사용 되었다. 현대에 와서는 멜로디나 화성 등이 일반적인 고정관념에서 벗어나서 노래의 아름다움과 노래와 반주의 조화보다는 작곡자의 스타일이나 패턴 등에 더 치중되어진다. 기존에는 노래와 반주가 어느 정도 연관성이 있었지만 현대에 접어들면서는 노래와 반주가 각각 독립적인 성격 또는 테마를 표현하는데 더 집중되어지고 그것으로 인하여 그 곡이 더 풍성해지기도 한다. 노래와 반주가 독립이 되고 대등한 위치가 되므로 반주의 역할도 더 이상 무시 할 수 없는 영역이 되었고 그 역할이 점점 중요해진다. 이 논문에서는 후기 낭만이자 초기 현대곡이라 할 수 있는 라벨의 <Cinq Melodies Populaires Grecques>를 분석하고, 특히 반주 파트에 더 중점을 두어 노래와 반주가 어떻게 조화를 이루었으며, 효과적인 피아노 반주의 역할로 인하여 성악가와의 융합을 어떻게 이루어야 할지를 연구하고자 한다.; The Western music has had lots of changes and developments from the Gregorian chant to Modernism, and the piano part in the vocal music has been developed remarkably. While a role of the piano accompaniment in the Baroque music was to support melodies with simple chord, the position of piano was established independently as well the support of the vocal part through the Classical, Romantic and Modern era. The importance of piano accompaniment has been recognized by Schubert and Schumann in the Romantic period. Schumann composed songs with a great deal of weight on the piano part because he was a pianist himself. In the time of Wolf, the poem and music had an accordance completely, and the vocal and piano part keep the perfect harmony with lots of various materials. In the modern times, the melody and harmony has deviated from the fixed idea and has been emphasized on the style or the pattern rather than beauty and harmonization of music. In the past, there was some connection between vocal part and piano accompaniment, but in the Modernism, they concentrated on the expression of the independent character or theme. In addition, a role of the piano accompaniment could not been ignored and had become more important because the accompaniment recognised as an I independent or equal position with the singing part. In this dissertation, it will be analyzed that Ravel's Five Greek Folks Song <Cinq Meloies Popupaires Grecques> which is the boundary between the late romanticism and the early Modern music, and will be examined how to assist the singer with the effective role of the piano accompaniment.
