Abstract
이 논문은 한지희 작곡의 관현악곡 「천지창조」의 분석 및 총보로 구성되어 있다. 「천지창조」는 성경의 창세기 1장 1절에서 2장 3절까지의 내용을 주관적인 해석으로 표현한 표제적 관현악곡이다. 이 작품의 분석에서는 하나님께서 태초에 천지를 창조하신 사건을 첫째 날부터 일곱째 날까지 7개의 부분으로 나누어서 악곡 각 부분의 형식과 내용, 주요 음 재료, 주제, 리듬과 박자, 셈여림, 관현악법을 다루었다. 이 작품의 형식은 단락 A, B, C로 구성된 첫 번째 부분과 단락 A′, B′, C′로 구성된 두 번째 부분과 코다인 D부분으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 단락 A는 하위단락 a와 b로 구성되고, 단락 B는 하위단락 c와 d로 구성된다. 단락 A′는 하위단락 a′와 b′로 구성되고, 단락 B′는 하위단락 c′와 d′로 구성된다. 각 부분이 표현하는 내용마다 그에 상응하는 음악적 주제와 관현악법을 가지고 있다. 각각의 내용이 나올 때 마다 그에 상응하는 주제가 곡 전체에서 출현하는 유도동기(Leit motif)를 사용하였다. 주로 사용한 음 소재로는 물을 상징하는 완전4도, 완전5도로 구성된 화성과 선율, F 장조 음계와 C 프리지안 선법, G 리디안 선법, 반음음계 등이 있다. 전체 악곡의 기본 박자는 4/4박자이다. 단락 B의 하위단락 c, 단락 B'의 하위단락 c', 단락 C'의 하위단락 g에서는 변박이 나타난다. 각 단락의 내용과 특징에 따라 빠르기가 변한다. 각 단락마다 특징 있는 관현악법을 사용하여 작품을 표현하였다. 목관악기와 금관악기, 타악기와 현악기의 사용이 비교적 분명히 나누어져 있다. 논문의 제1부에서는 관현악곡 「천지창조」를 분석하였고, 제2부에서는 총보를 제시하였다.; This thesis consists of the score of an The Creation of the Universe」 for orchestra composed by Ji-hee Han and its analysis conducted by the composer. The thesis refers the composer's analytic study on how the biblical contents of the Genesis (chapter 1 to chapter 2, verse 3) are transcribed into the above-mentioned orchestral program composition. The analytic study deals with the styles and contents, pitch materials, leit motif, orchestrations and dynamics, etc. of the composition. 「The Creation of the Universe」is composed of two main parts and Coda that form the structural style of the composition; the first part containing section A, B and C, the second part containing section A', B' and D, and the final part (section E) serving as the Coda. The section A of the first part can be divided into the sub-section a which is intended to depict the light and the sub-section b which will serve to depict the darkness. The section B of the first part can be divided into the sub-section c, to depict the sea and the sub-section d, to depict the sky. The section C serves to depict the plants on the Earth. The section A' of the second part can be divided into the sub-section a', serving to depict the sun and the sub-section b 'to depict the moon and the stars. The section B' of the second part can be divided into the sub-section c', serving to depict fishes in the sea and the sub-section d', serving to depict birds in the sky. The section D is divided into the sub-section e which is intended to depict animals on the Earth, and the sub-section f which is intended to depict the human beings. The section E, serving as a coda, is intended to depict the Seventh Day as the final day of the Creation. The Pitch materials used in this composition include a G Lydian mode, harmonies of perfect fourth intervals which eventually form a melodic line, F major scale and C Phrygian mode and chromatic scales. In the composition of this orchestral program music, a few leading motives(Leit moif) are employed in order to associate with the light, the darkness, the sky and the water. The Leit motif for the light employs G Lydian mode, that are played by woodwind instruments and brass instruments in the section A, A' and C. The Leit motif for the darkness, that is composed of augmented fourth intervals, is also played by woodwind instruments and brass instruments in the section A and A'. The Leit motif for the sky, that is constructed on the basis of F major scale and C Phrygian mode, emerges in the section B, B' and E. The Leitmotif for the water, that is constructed on perfect fourth intervals, can be heard in the section B, C, B' and D respectively in different orchestrations. This thesis was written by the composer of 「The Creation of the Universe」, on the basis of the composer's own analysis and study on what tools and compositional techniques had been employed in transcribing some of the biblical contents of the Genesis into the above mentioned orchestral program music.
