그래프 기반의 비즈니스 프로세스 이상현상 검증 방법

Abstract

최근 비즈니스 프로세스가 복잡해짐에 따라, 비즈니스 프로세스를 설계 한 후 실행하는 과정에서 예상치 못한 문제들이 발생할 가능성 또한 높아지고 있다. 예상치 못한 문제의 발생은 막대한 비용 및 인적 자원의 손실을 초래하기 때문에, 설계 된 비즈니스 프로세스는 엔진에서 실행되기 이전에 다양한 방법으로 검증을 받아야 한다. 본 논문은, BPMN으로 설계된 비즈니스 프로세스의 컨트롤 플로우(Control Flow) 이상 현상 중 데드락과 동기화의 부족 그리고 시작과 종료가 없는 액티비티 이상 현상에 대한 검증을 목적으로 한다. 데드락과 동기화의 부족은 Split 게이트웨이와 Join 게이트웨이의 종류에 따른 의미적인 차이에 의해 발생하기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 프로세스를 방향성 그래프로 변환함으로써 Split 게이트웨이와 쌍을 이루는 Join 게이트웨이를 찾을 것을 제안하고, 찾아낸 (Split,Join) 게이트웨이 쌍은 컨트롤 플로우 검증 테이블을 이용하여 쌍 간의 의미적인 차이를 비교함으로써 각 이상 현상을 검증 할 수 있다. 시작과 종료가 없는 액티비티 이상 현상은 비즈니스 프로세스를 방향성 그래프로 변환한 후 각 레벨에서의 노드와 간선의 수를 비교함으로써 검증이 가능하다. 이러한 검증 방법을 통하여 기존에는 힘들었던 OR 게이트웨이에 대한 검증을 쉽게 수행 할 수 있게 되었으며, 게이트웨이들이 복합적으로 사용되어 검증이 어려웠던 Complex 게이트웨이에 대한 검증도 처음으로 시도할 수 있게 되었다.; According as the business process has been getting complicated recently, occurrence possibility of unexpected problems also has been getting raised during execution of the business process after its creation. Designed business process has to be verified by diverse methods before its execution because occurrence of unexpected problems brings a serious loss of both an expense and human resources. This paper aims for verification of control flow anomalies which are Dead lock, lack of synchronization and activities without termination (or Activation) in a business process designed with BPMN. We propose the method that finds a Join gateway coupled with a Split gateway through transforming business process into a graph and verify the anomalies with the (Split,Join) gateway pairs and the Control Flow Verification Table.
