방과 후 아동지도 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도 확대 추세에 대응하여 초등학교 저학년의 방과 후 사교육 실태 분석, 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도에 대한 학부모의 인식과 요구, 만족도 분석을 통해 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도 운영 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다.

최근 저 출산, 혼인 감소, 이혼율 증가로 인해 가족유형이 다양화되고, 기혼 여성의 경제활동 참여율 증가로 인한 사회 환경의 변화에 대응하여 아동의 보육, 교육의 역할을 담당해야할 중요한 대안으로 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도가 내실화되고 확대되어야 할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도 확대 추세에 대응하여 초등 학교 저학년의 방과 후 사교육 실태 분석, 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동 지도에 대한 학부모의 인식과 요구, 만족도 분석을 통해, 초등학교 저학년 방과 후 아동지도 운영 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있으며, 연구내 용을 달성하기 위해 방과 후 교육 및 보육 관련 문헌, 선행연구, 설문지 조 사 등의 연구 방법이 사용되었다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면 방과 후 아동지도 이외의 사교육 현황에 있어서 과외지도, 보습학원의 참여도가 높았으며, 참여도에 비해 만족도는 다소 낮 게 나타났으며, 방과 후 아동지도에 대한 인식과 요구에 대한 결과를 살펴 보면 가장 관심을 갖고 있는 내용은 프로그램 내용이었으며, 방과 후 아동 지도에 있어 가장 중점을 두고 운영해 주기를 바라는 프로그램으로는 숙제 지도 및 학교 공부 보충 지도가 가장 많았다. 또한, 방과 후 아동지도 교사 와의 의견 교환 내용에 있어서는 방과 후 아동지도 교육과정에 대한 내용 과 학생의 생활 및 행동 특성에 관한 내용이 대부분을 차지하는 것으로 나 타났으며, 방과 후 아동지도 운영 시간에 대해서는 학부모들이 운영시간 연장에 대한 욕구가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 방과 후 아동지도 향후 이용 계 획에 대해서는 대부분이 이용 희망 하고 있었으며, 안심하고 직장생활을 할 수 있는 점과 예체능 특기교육, 숙제지도 등 학교공부를 지도해주기 때 문이 그 이유였다.; Recently, the necessity of after school program's magnification and substantiality as an alternative of children education has been proposed to deal with the changes in social environment such as the diversification of family pattern, lower birth rate, the decrease in marriage rate, the increase in divorce rate and accompanying increase in the married woman population which is engaged in economic activities. This study is focused on the after school program's revitalization through parents understanding analysis, requirement and satisfaction index analysis of after school education for the lower classes' students in elementary school, and the survey study about after school education and nurture. Based on the results from this study, it is forecasted that the expenditure of private education is high in private education status except after school program because of higher participation for out-of-school studies and supplementary education. Next, concerning the result of the recognition and requirement for after school program, educational content has a priority. Most programs that parents emphatically want to be managed in after school program are the homework coaching and supplementary study. The important concepts of after school programs such as supplementary study curriculum, running hour, extra curricular plan (e.g. art & physical fitness course and homework coaching) are discussed. The survey on the satisfaction level from parents was conducted, supporting the importance of practical and specific solution from policy making by government to managing the after school program to revitalize it. Based on these considerations, a number of proposals to revitalize and substantialize after school program in elementary school are made. The strategy for the improvement and magnification of after school program's operation should be considered. It is necessary that the preparation of legal and institutional guide and the establishment and revision of related law should be amended. National and public funding for after school program should be managed efficiently. The development, program management and the operational scheme of after school program should be continuously improved. Re-training program for teacher and volunteer should be revised and managed. Last but not least, public recognition on the importance of after school program should be enhanced by the successful practice of the current program.
