증개축에 따른 일식주택의 공간적 변화에 관한 연구

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the current state of Japanese style residence areas and Japanese style houses in Korea, and to determine the change in the characteristics of dining kitchens that have taken place since Koreans have lived in them. When Korea opened its ports and underwent Japanese colonization, many Japanese style houses were built in Korea. Following Korea's liberalization from Japan, Koreans began to reside in these houses. In the process, while assimilation occurred, there was also a conflict between the residential lifestyles of the two cultures, developing into a state where two housing cultures co-existed. Against this backdrop, the aim of the study is to define changes in housing that have resulted from the changes that have occurred in Japanese houses following Korea's liberalization from Japanese colonial rule. The aim of the study is also to determine the current status of residents' life patterns and the characteristics of the main demands placed on their lifestyle, based on the physical and functional changes that have taken place to dining kitchens. The dining kitchens showed the most sensitive adjustments to social changes, facilitating a number of important changes in the process of modernizing houses. In this regard, the intention is to determine how the dining kitchens responded to other areas within the house as they were being transformed. Research for this study is based on previous studies that were carried out in 1991 on Japanese style houses, in order to clearly define the process of change chronologically rather than from a single examination. In consequently, From the process of changes where from a conventional kitchen to DK anger, The public space - wooden floor, living room, etc - had been formed in house spaces. In the lifestyle, privacy secured. It was separated each functional spaces that greeting space for guests and family's space in the lifestyle. The cause of variation could be summarized that differences of living style , a change of life and fuel. The intention of this study is also to define the meaning of housing space in Korea, the characteristics of the functional changes that have occurred in housing, and to clarify the Korean concept of housing.; 본 논문은 한국의 주거문화에 대한 외래주거문화의 영향을 파악하기 위한 연구로서, 특히 일식주택의 영향을 파악하는 것을 궁극적인 목적으로 하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서의 국내에 존재하고 있는 일식주거에 대한 실측조사, 생활조사는 일식주거의 영향이 지대하다는 인식에서 출발하였고, 여전히 일식주택에 거주자가 남아있으므로, 우리나라 주거사의 일부분임을 확인할 수 있었다. 일식주택이 도시화, 근대화 과정을 거치면서 주거공간의 변화를 표출하였고, 그것을 파악함으로서 향후 주의식의 발전방향과 동향을 파악하는 바탕이 될 것이라고 해석할 수 있다. 한국 근대기의 주요 도시들은 식량거점의 확보, 군사적 목적 등의 이유로 개항이 시작되었고, 개항장을 중심으로 많은 일식주택의 건립과 새로운 도시계획이 행해졌다. 광복 후 일식주택에는 한국인이 정착하게 되고, 일본인의 주문화(住文化)와 동화, 갈등을 겪으면서 한국인의 주요구에 따른 주거변화가 일어나게 된다. 현재까지도 개항도시에는 많은 일식주거지와 도시계획의 형태가 남아 있으며, 일식주거에 여전히 거주자하는 사람들이 있어 지속적인 변화과정을 살펴 볼 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 해방 후 일식주거지의 변화에 따른 주거 변화는 어떠하였으며 특히 부엌 공간의 물리적, 기능적 변화를 통하여 거주자의 주생활 실태와 주요구의 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 주거 내 부엌 공간은 사회적 변화에 따른 가장 민감한 변화를 보이는 부분이며, 주거 근대화과정에서 중요한 변화요소로 작용함에 따라 부엌 공간 변화를 중심으로 주거 내.외부의 대응관계를 살펴 볼 것이다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구는 기존에 조사가 이루어졌던 일식주택을 바탕으로 재조사를 하고, 주거가 여러 차례 변화한 과정을 시계역적으로 파악, 분석하는 것이 주거의 변화흐름에 대한 특성을 정확히 고찰할 수 있는 관점이라고 판단하였다. 그 결과 전반적인 일식주택의 증,개축 경향은 개실화, 통합화 등의 개실의 변화와, 화장실, 창고 등의 서비스실의 신축, 설비시설의 발달에 의한 부엌의 입식화 및 DK화 과정 등으로 나타나는데, 이 과정에서 일식주택이 가지는 특징과 우리나라 거주자가 지닌 재래주택의 주의식이 충돌하면서 공간의 변화가 생기거나, 거주자가 순응하며 살게되기도 하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 그 중 부엌의 특징을 언급하자면, 원형구조의 부엌이 DK화 되는 과정에서주거 공간에서는 마루, 거실 등과 같은 공적공간을 형성했고, 생활형태로는 프라이버시의 확보와 단란 및 접객의 행위가 분리되는 것으로 나타났다. 변화요인은 주거 문화적 차이, 연료의 변화, 생활의 변화 등으로 요약할 수 있다. 연구를 통해 현재까지 남아있는 일식주택의 현황을 파악하고, 증,개축 과정을 통해 일식주택이 우리나라 주거문화의 일부분임을 파악하는데 의의가 있다. 결과적으로는 우리나라에 남아있는 일식주거지의 주거현황을 확인하고, 부엌공간 변화를 중심으로 근대주거유형이 자생적으로 발전, 변화되어 현재까지 이어지는 논리의 한 사례를 밝혀 주거문화의 변화과정에 관한 경향 및 흐름을 찾는 연구라는 점에 의의가 있다.
