고등학교 공통과학 7차 개정 교과서의 교육과정 분석

Abstract

교육과정이 변화할 때마다 교과서 역시 변화된 교육과정의 변화에 맞추어 끊임없는 개정을 이어왔다. 한국의 교육과정은 8· 15광복 후 지금까지 수차례에 걸쳐 여러 번의 개정을 거쳐 왔으며 현재는 7차 교육과정이 시행되어 오고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제 7차 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 공통과학 12종 교과서의 물리 단원을 여러 가지 방법으로 분석해보았다. 그 중 2008년도에 출판된 1종의 교과서를 따로 분석하여 2011년에 시행될 7차 교육과정 개정 교과서의 유형과 특징을 파악하고, 개정된 교과서의 장· 단점 및 개선점에 대하여도 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 먼저 7차 교육과정 및 개정된 교육과정 내용을 조사하였으며, 이에 맞추어 12종의 교과서 내용과 교과서별 설명 유형을 분석하였다. 교과서 분석 결과, 7차 교육과정의 교과서는 탐구활동 중심으로 이루어져 있었으며 개정된 교육과정의 교과서는 실생활 예시 활용을 중심으로 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 개정된 교육과정을 반영한 교과서는 자유탐구 도입을 통한 탐구 활동의 자율화, 예시 활용을 통한 이론 설명의 이해력 상승, 중복 단원의 통합 및 구성의 변화를 통한 단원 간의 유동적 연결이라는 점에서 7차 교육과정에는 없는 장점을 가지고 있었지만 보편적인 예시 선정의 부족, 서술형 방식의 내용 전개, 단원 통합에 따른 설명 부족이라는 점에서는 개선점이 필요하다. 개정된 교육과정에서 교과서가 제 역할을 하기 위해서는 현재 출판된 개정 교과서를 바탕으로 한 현장에서의 분석과, 학교와 교사 측의 많은 연구가 요구된다.; High school science textbook was changing successively to suit its contents to the changing curriculum. Korea's Education Curriculum has been passed through several amendments since August 15th, the independence of Korea. In present days, the 7th Education Curriculum has been coming into effect. In this study, common science textbook newly published in 2008 was revised, investigated and improvements were suggested. The type and characteristics of this book were analyzed and compared with the 12 other high school common science textbooks following 7th education curriculum. Also, the revised and the present textbooks were compared in terms of the contents and explanations. After analyzing, it was found that in the 7th Education Curriculum, the textbooks were mainly composed of experimental activities while in the revised edition was more focused on the examples found in the real world. The strong features of the revised textbook are allowing students to freely engage in a research in the related topics as well as increasing one's understanding with provided examples. Also, related topics and chapters are combined and each chapters are related with one another. However, its weak features are lacking common examples used in the explanation as well as explanations in combined chapters along with the descriptions. For the revised textbook to perform its role, thorough analysis of the textbook in the schools is required along with researches from the schools and the teachers.
