한국어 교재의 문화항목 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 한국어 문화교육의 중요성을 인식하고 초급 학습자들의 의사소통능력을 향상할 수 있는 효과적이고 체계적인 한국어 문화교육 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 그 구체적인 방법으로 기존 한국어 교재의 문화항목을 분석하여 교재에서 제시하고 있는 문화항목과 교육내용이 초급 학습자들에게 적합한지 생각해 보고, 그 내용의 구성 방안에 대해 탐색해 보았다. 기존 한국어 교재에서 문화항목은 한국 문화에 대해 단편적인 제시에 그칠 뿐 실제 현실의 반영이 빈약하거나, 언어와 문화가 분리된 내용이 다루어졌다. 또한 한국어 의사소통에 도움이 되지 않는 설명문 형식의 제시 혹은 선택된 문화 내용이 제시되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국어 교재에서 등한시 되었던 문화교육을 통한 언어교육이 통합된 내용을 구성하여 의사소통능력을 향상할 수 있는 문화항목의 제시방안을 논하고자 하는 것이다. 따라서 본고에서는 한국어 교육에서 문화항목의 내용과 제시방법 등 문화교육 현황을 파악하기 위해 대학 한국어 기관의 교재와 기타 교재 3종을 포함한 초급 교재 11권을 분석해 보았고, 문화에 대한 학습자의 의식정도와 문화학습에 대한 만족도와 선호도를 살펴보기 위해 한국어 교육기관과 유학생 모임을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이를 토대로 선정한 문화항목의 내용을 ‘학습 전 활동 - 학습 활동 - 학습 후 활동’으로 나누어 구체적인 구성방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 초급 학습자를 위한 문화항목의 교육내용과 구성방안을 논함으로써 문화교육이 좀 더 학습자들에게 의사소통능력을 배양할 수 있는 교육으로 자리매김 할 수 있는 계기를 마련했다는데서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 그러나 실제 수업에 반영하지 못하여 검증하지 못한 점이 아쉬움으로 남는다. 앞으로 실제 수업을 통해 의사소통능력을 향상할 수 있는 문화항목의 구체적이고 다양한 구성방안에 대한 모형 개발을 다음 과제로 남긴다.; The purpose of this study is to grope effective and systematical plan of Korean language cultural education to recognize the importance of Korean language cultural education, and improve communications skills of beginners. To study this concretely, it analyzed cultural contents of existing Korean language materials, considered cultural contents and educational contents presented in materials were appropriate to beginners, and then examined the contents construction. In existing Korean language materials, cultural contents presented only Korean culture fragmentarily, didn't reflect real actuality much enough, or treated the contents that language and culture were separated. Also it presents an expository form, which is not helpful to communicate in Korean language, or selected cultural contents. Therefore this study intends on suggestion of cultural contents that can improve communications skills by constructing the integrated contents of language education through cultural education that was neglected from Korean language materials. So in this manuscript, 11 materials for beginners including 3 materials from Korean language institution and other materials were analyzed to grasp the present condition of cultural education such as the contents and the method of presenting cultural contents in Korean language education, the survey of educational institution of Korean language and foreign students was conducted to examine learner's recognition of culture, and satisfaction and preference of cultural education. And presented a concrete construction by dividing the cultural contents chosen on the basis of this into ‘activity before learning - learning activity - activity after learning.’ The meaning of this study is to prepare an opportunity for cultural education to be positioned as the education that can cultivate more communications skills of learners by discussing educational contents and cultural contents construction for beginners. However it is a pity that it was not verified owing to no reflecting on real class. Now there is the post challenge to develop the model for concrete and various constructions to improve communications skills through real lesson.
