Abstract
과거 한국의 경제성장의 초석이 되는 기능인을 배출해낸 공업계 고등학교가 현재에 이르러 학벌위주 학력위주의 사회 분위기 속에서 외면당하고 있다 기술력만으로 인정받는 기능인을 만들기 위한 교육기관으로서 공업고등학교가 7차교육과정에 맞춰 발전해 나가 기능인, 공업고등학교 졸업자들이 인정받는 사회가 되기위한 첫걸음으로 공업고등학교가 내부에서 부터 서서히 바뀌어 나가야 한다.; In past, Korea was suffered by economic difficulties. But after the fast development, Korea is now became one of the leading countries in the world. Korea don’t have plenty of natural resources, and national population is not much as the leading countries. The only choice that Korea had was excellent manpower of people. Korean economy was grown fast by the hand of finest engineers, and now became a one of the leading country in IT division. Currently, Korea is ranked 10th place in semiconductor and automobile industries. High educational fever is in the base of this fast development of Korea, and this fever makes talented people. To escape from the poverty, many Koreans were graduated technical high school to earn money as soon as possible. So, back to the 1970s, many talented students in graduation class of middle school chose technical high school for their next school. They learned information about practical work and its theory, and prepared to go to the factories right away. We had fast economic growth by their hands. So, in the past, educational fever makes economic growth, but it’s not in today. We have much different situations, now. Through suffer of IMF, most engineers lost their jobs and government officials didn’t. Government is the best place for workers because of guaranteed old age and stable job. And certification of University is expected for every Korean people who want their jobs, and engineers who ends their education by technical high school is neglecting, now. As the result of these changes, technical high schools are declining. Technical high schools are having much decline students and teachers than academic high schools. Number and quality of students in technical high schools are much lower than before. Applicants and fewer every year, and reputation of technical schools are getting worse. We can’t change this situation at once, and it’s impossible. We should take a look at the situation, and make a effective solution of the problem, because the resource for the education is limited. In this study, we will analyze a problem of descending of technical high schools, and find some solutions to overcome the difficulties.
