L.v.Beethoven의 <Violin Sonata No.5, Op.24>에 대한 연구

Abstract

베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven1770~1827)은 고전주의시대의 마지막을 대표하는 작곡가로 피아노소나타, 교향곡, 실내악곡등을 비롯한 다양한 장르의 많은 걸작들을 남겼다. 또한 그는 총 10개의 바이올린 소나타를 작곡하였는데 그 중에서 제5번 ·봄 ·은 F Major의 밝고 따뜻한 분위기의 곡으로 베토벤의 초기작품에 해당된다. 이곡은 아직까지 전통적으로 사용하였던 소나타형식을 가지고 있지만 이전의 3악장 소나타형식을 4악장으로 확대시키고 3악장의 미뉴엣을 스케르초로 대체하는 등의 새로운 시도를 보여주었다. 베토벤의 바이올린 소나타는 바이올린이 점점 피아노와 동등한 역할로 연주되며 두 악기가 앙상블을 이뤄가는 모습을 보여준다. 이것은 이전의 모차르트 바이올린 소나타에 있어서 피아노가 곡 전체를 주도해 나가며 바이올린이 종속적인 역할을 했던 것에 비해 많은 발전을 한 것이라 볼 수 있다. 이런 모습은 제5번소나타에서도 자주 볼 수 있으며 특히 이전 바이올린소나타 작품들과 다르게 처음으로 바이올린이 주선율을 제시하며 1악장이 시작된다. 본 논문은 베토벤의 작품세계에 대한 전반적인 이해를 돕기 위해 먼저 그의 생애를 전기, 중기, 후기로 나누어 연구할 것이며 10개의 바이올린소나타 전곡의 특징을 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 이 논문의 주제인 “Sonata for Violin and Piano Op.24, No.5” 의 각 악장에서 나타나는 구조, 형식, 선율, 화성 등을 분석하여 베토벤의 새로운 음악적 시도를 논할 것이다.; As one of the most important composer in the last phase of Classical period, Ludwig van Beethoven left numerous masterpieces over a wide variety of genres, such as piano sonatas, symphonies and ensemble pieces, so on. Of the ten sonatas he composed for violin, the Violin Sonata No.5 in F Major, known as "Spring Sonata", warm and bright, comes from Beethoven's early period. While keeping the traditional sonata form, the piece shows Beethoven's attempts to new experimentation, adding a fourth movement to the existing three-movement format and replacing the third movement`s minuet with a scherzo. In Beethoven's Violin Sonatas, the violin plays an equally important role as the piano, alternating with each other to create harmony. It is a major progress in contrast with earlier sonatas, such as those by Mozart, where the piano takes the lead with the violin rendered as secondary. The Violin Sonata No.5 shows the same trend. For the first time in No.5, the first movement begins with the violin playing the melody. This thesis will study on Beethoven's music, dividing his life in three distinct stages : early, middle and last period. While it will analyze all ten of Beethoven's violin sonata in general, Beethoven's new musical experiments will be discussed in detail through critical examination of his Violin Sonata No.5, in F Major, Opus 24, for its structure, melody and harmonies.
