Customer Perspective Analysis on Ubiquitous Healthcare Services

Abstract

유비쿼터스 헬스케어 서비스(유헬스 서비스)는 유비쿼터스 기술에 근거하여 의료산업과 IT산업이 접목된 최근 주목받고 있는 산업간 컨버전스 형태 중 하나이다. 유헬스 서비스는 현재의 의료서비스와 더불어 번창할 것으로 기대 되었으나 유헬스 서비스에 대한 비즈니스 모델이 아직 초기단계에 있음으로 인하여 시장에서의 수용성은 낮은 것으로 나타나고 있다. 또한 과거의 연구들이 정부의 정책, u-Life, u-City, 시장예측이나 유헬스 관련 기술에 집중되었던 반면 컨버전스 관점에서 다루어진 연구사례는 많지 않은 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 현재 u-Health 시스템의 현황 조사와 더불어 소비자의 수용성이 낮은 원인에 대하여 분석하고자 하였으며 현재 시행되고 있는 u-Health 서비스와 개념상태에 있는 u-Health 서비스를 분석하여 혁신의 확산 및 수용 이론과 기술 수용 모델에 근거한 서비스 모델을 제시하고자 하였다. 고객의 유헬스 서비스에 대한 선호도 조사를 위하여 설문조사가 시행되었으며 결과분석을 위하여 계층분석기법(AHP)을 이용하였다. 또한 산업간 컨버전스를 주도하고 있는 세가지 관점에 입각하여 사용자관점에서의 유헬스 서비스에 대한 수용가능성을 분석하였고 이를 토대로 기술적 혁신과 시장의 규제개혁과 관련한 시사점과 향후 연구와 유헬스 관련 비즈니스 발전을 위한 명제를 도출하였다.; While ubiquitous healthcare (u-Health) services were expected to propagate along with conventional healthcare services, recent progress indicated rather limited market acceptance. In this paper, we investigated the fundamental causes of why the consumer acceptance level of u-Health services has been low. We draw upon innovation adoption theories to analyze the consumer readiness of the typical u-Health services. The comparative analysis between innovative u-Health services and conventional services was performed using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Subsequently, policy and business implications including technological breakthrough insights were discussed based on the customer perspective comparative adoption analysis. The propositions captured through this study provide useful insight to further studies on u-Health services.
