특기적성 교육을 위한 남ㆍ북한 가야금 교측본 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 현재 출판 된 가야금 교측본의 문제점을 검토하고 남·북한 가야금 교측본을 비교 연구하여 가야금 특기·적성교육의 효과적 활용 방안을 모색한 것이다. 이를 위해 남한에서 보편적으로 사용되는 가야금 교측본 3종을 선정하여 북한의 가야금 교측본 3종과 비교 분석하였다. 이는 가야금 특기·적성 교육에서 보다 효율적이고 체계적인 교재를 개발하기 위함이며, 그 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한의 가야금 교측본은 초보자도 가야금을 쉽게 이해하고 연주할 수 있도록 연주주법에 대한 설명이 잘 되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 하지만 수록곡들에 대한 선정과정에 있어 예술적부분이나 전통음악 양식을 보존하는 것보다는 정치적 측면인 이데올로기를 내포한 음악 내용이 포함되어 있다. 음악이 인간의 감정 순화와 정서의 함양에 목적을 두고 있는 것이 아니라, 주체사상이라는 이념을 강조했기 때문이다 둘째, 남한의 가야금 교측본은 1960년대 이후 약 20여종의 교측본이 출판되었다. 남한 가야금 교측본은 북한 가야금 교측본에 비해 교측본 한권에 초보자 입문을 위한 민요부터 정악, 산조에 이르기까지 단 한권으로 출판되었으며, 특히 초급·중급·고급에 대한 구별이 모허하여 각 과정마다의 충분한 연습곡 제시가 부족하다. 또한 초기 교측본부터 현재 출판된 교측본까지 크게 달라진 점이 없다. 이는 50년간 교측본에 대한 교재 개발이 안되었음을 시사한다. 좀 더 효과적인 가야금 교측본을 만들기 위해서는 한권에 다양한 과정을 편성하기 보다는 단계별 교측본을 나누어 각 단계에 맞게 흥미롭고 재미있는 연습곡들을 선택·개발하는 것이 필요하다. 현재 출판 되어 있는 가야금 교측본들은 특기·적성교육을 통해 학습할 초급 학습자들이 스스로 습득하기엔 조금 어렵고 기초적 연주 기법에 대한 설명이 다소 부족하다. 또한 연습곡들도 일부 몇 권을 제외하고는 대부분 민요곡으로서 다양한 곡의 경험을 요구하는 현대적 감각의 학습자들이나, 어린 학생들을 위한 연습곡의 수록이 필요하다. 따라서 초급 과정이나 중급 과정을 위한 단계적이고 체계적인 연습곡이 필요하고, 특기·적성 교육을 통해 가야금을 접하는 기초학습자가가 처음 쉽고 재미있게 접할 수 있는 단계적인 가야금 교측본이 시급히 개발 되어야 한다고 본다. 앞으로 체계적인 지도 계획을 가지고 음악적인 측면과 이론적인 측면을 고려하여 단계적이고 점진적인 가야금 학습을 위한 교측본을 만드는 것이 중요하며, 보다 현대적이고 대중적인 곡들을 선정하여 초급자도 흥미를 유발하여 학습에 도움을 줄 수 있는 효과적인 가야금 교수법이 이루어지도록 도움을 주어야 할 것이다.; This thesis contains the comparison of Gayageum teaching material between South and North Korea. Since teaching materials demonstrate one of the most significant characters to understand the educating process of Gayageum, by comparing the materials in these two countries, we will realize how the education of Gayageum can be more effective and efficient. Six textbooks, three for South Korea and the other three for North Korea, are selected for the overall study as a comparison method used in the article. By comparing these textbooks, I have reached to the following conclusions. First of all, as a beginner of Gayageum, North Korean’s textbooks are more effective because they explain well by practical manner in their textbook to perform Gayageum itself. However, it is also observed that political issues are emphasized rather than artistic side or tradition of Gayageum when examples are presented. A number of textbooks have been published in South Korea from 1960’s, and these publications make the students in the beginner’s level have more opportunities to select proper textbooks for themselves. Because most Gayageum textbooks published by South Korean have good contents for the traditional music, by selecting any Gayageum textbook in South Korea, the students can have privileges in their overall learning of Gayageum. But the weakness of South Korean’s text book is one textbook contains many level’s contexts at a time. It deals with beginner step, intermediate step, and advanced step at the same time. This fact makes the textbook doesn’t contain enough etudes for each level. To make a textbook more useful, it is necessary to divide the textbooks by each level rather than combining several steps in one book when it is written, and also select the more etudes for each step rather. The current South Korean’s textbooks are not easy to understand the basic technical of performance by the beginner of Gayageum. Most etudes in the textbooks are the traditional songs more attractive etudes must be added for the beginners. To do this, we need to create new Gayageum etudes for each level. Also, the new etudes must be well organized in the learning system for Gayageum. By doing this way, the beginner can get easily familiar with Gayageum. To increase effectiveness of Gayageum education, it is important to make textbooks within the sufficient plan with many considerations of artistic and theoretical points of views, and add more familiar and modern etudes in the textbook.
