상호텍스트성을 통한 고전소설 교수학습 방안연구

Abstract

이 논문은 고전소설과 현대소설의 상호텍스트성을 통한 교수-학습 방안을 연구하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 고전 소설「만복사저포기」,「원생몽유록」,「운영전」과 현대소설「검은바람」의 작품 분석을 통해 상호텍스트성을 살펴보았다. 고전 소설을 변용한 대다수의 작품들이 고전 소설의 내용을 창작의 소재로 재활용하여 기존 모티프를 변용 또는 첨가하는 방식을 취하는 반면, 「검은바람」은 작품 속에서 고전소설의 원래 모습을 유지하면서, ‘소설 속의 소설 형식’이라는 특징을 갖는다. 이에 본고에서는, 여러 텍스트를 통합한 재창작 텍스트에서 보이는 텍스트간의 연관성에 주목하고자 한다. 이를 위해 고전 소설 세 작품을 통합하여 단일 텍스트로 재구성한 임치균의 현대소설을 중심으로 텍스트 간의 연관성을 살펴보았다. 먼저 Ⅱ장에서는 상호텍스트성의 개념을 정립하고, 문학교육과정에 도입된 상호텍스트성에 대해 제시하였다. ‘상호텍스트성’은 하나의 텍스트가 다른 텍스트와 맺고 있는 상호 관련성을 의미한다. 단일 텍스트가 다른 텍스트와 어떠한 관련을 가지는지에 대한 학습 활동을 통해 학습자는 텍스트의 의미를 다양하게 해석하고 내면화할 수 있다. Ⅲ장에서는「검은바람」의 작품 분석을 하며「만복사저포기」,「원생몽유록」,「운영전」의 주요 모티프에 따라 서사구조를 살펴보았다. 소설 속 인물, 사건, 배경들은 내부 이야기를 연결시켜주는 역할을 하면서 원텍스트의 표면적 해석과 함께 역사적 상황에 대한 이차적 해석을 가능하게 한다. 때문에 학습자는 이러한 접근을 통해 마음속에서 구성되는 텍스트의 상호텍스트성을 확장하여 이해의 폭을 넓히게 된다. 이를 바탕으로 Ⅳ장에서는「검은바람」의 상호텍스트적 요소를 텍스트 이해 절차에 따라 구분하였다. 내용을 파악하는 인식하기 단계, 의미를 찾는 해석하기 단계, 의미를 받아들이는 이해하기 단계로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그 결과 학습자는 여러 맥락에서 의미를 분석, 비교, 비판하는 활동을 하기 위해 적극적인 사고 활동을 하게 됨을 알 수 있었다. Ⅴ장에서는 앞서 분석한 상호텍스트성을 활용하여 실제 수업에 적용할 수 있는 교수-학습 활동을 구안하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 상호텍스트성을 바탕으로 문학 교육에 접근하였을 때의 의의를 살펴보았다.; The paper aims at researching a teaching and learning method through the intertextuality of classical novel and modern novel. In order to carry out the aim, the paper investigates intertextuality through an analysis of three classical novels, 「Manboksa jeopogi 」,「Wonsaeng mongyurok」 and「Ynyeongjeon」, and one modern novel, 「The black wind」. While most works written modifying classical novels transform or add the existing motives by re-using the contents of classical novels as an object of creation, 「The black wind」has the characteristic of 'a novel form within novel', maintaining the original of classical novels in it. Thus, the paper tries to focus on the connection between texts recreated through integrating many texts. Centering on a modern novel of Im Chigyun, which integrated three classical novels and then re-structurized them into one text, it investigates the connection between texts. Chapter II defines the concept of intertextuality and suggests intertextuality introduced in the process of literature education. 'Intertextuality' means a mutual relation that one text is connected to another text. Learners can variously analyze and internalize the meaning of a text through learning activity on what relation one text has with another text. Chapter III examines the narrative structure of 「The black wind」according to the main motives of 「Manboksa jeopogi 」,「Wonsaeng mongyurok」 and「Ynyeongjeon」, analyzing 「The black wind」. Characters and backgrounds of the novel not only play a role of connecting the inside stories but also allow the second interpretation for historical situation to be possible along with the superficial interpretation of the original texts. Thus, learners can widen their understanding by extending the intertextuality of texts made in their minds through such an approach. Based on that, following the text understanding process, chapter IV divides the intertextual factors of 「The black wind」: a recognition step to grasp the content, a analysis step to seek meaning, and an understanding step to accept the meaning. As a result of the research, it is found that a learner can conduct actively intellectual activity to perform the analysis, comparison, and criticism of a meaning in terms of many contexts. Chapter V suggests a teaching-learning activity that can be applied to real class, using the above analyzed intertextuality. Through such a process, the paper looks at the meaning when a learner accesses literature education based on intertextuality.
