효과적인 관악합주의 지도법 연구

Abstract

음악은, 인간을 정신적으로 성숙하게 하고 삶을 윤택하게 하는 중요한 기반으로 작용하며, 학생들에게 필요한 정서적 안정감 및 순화작용에 중요한 영향을 준다. 특히, 청소년기 음악활동의 하나인 관악합주는 학교 내·외 행사를 비롯하여 실내 앙상블에 이르기까지 광범위한 단체활동을 자연스럽게 이끌어내어 집단구성원의 사기, 협동심을 진작시키고 동일목표를 향한 의지와 신념을 만들어 나가는데 매우 긍정적인 역할을 한다. 논자는 음악의 이러한 장점을 학교 내 교육활동과 결합하는 방법으로‘관악합주’가 효과적이라 판단하고, 연구를 진행하였다. 우리나라 관악합주 교육 및 활동은 주로 고등학교 과정 내에서 이루어지나, 그 교육은 생각보다 비체계적이며 불합리한 요소를 가진 채 진행되고 있다. 입시위주의 교육제도로 인해 음악교육의 중요성이 감소되어 음악활동에 시간적, 공간적 제약을 받고 있으며, 교사의 수가 학생 모두를 지도편달하기에 충분치 않다는 문제점 역시 안고 있다. 또한 운영적인 면에 있어, 교육제도가 부실하며 재정적인 후원이 결여되어 있다. 분명 관악합주를 지도해 나가는데 교육환경과 여건이 부족한 현실이지만, 논자의 생각에는 관악합주의 지도자에게 역시 갖추어야 할 학문적 소양 또는 실질적 테크닉을 숙지하지 못하고 있다고 판단하는 바이다. 따라서 이러한 문제점의 해결에 목표를 두고 아래와 같은 내용의 연구를 진행하였다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 우리나라 관악합주의 역사를 간략히 설명함으로써, 학생 및 지도교사에게 관악합주가 발전해온 방향을 보인다. 둘째로 학생들에게 필요한 기초연습법을 제시하여 관악합주의 기본이 되는 호흡법과 기본연습(롱톤, 음계, 텅잉, 슬러, 리듬) 방법을 체계적으로 설명하였다. 또한, 관악연주자에게 소홀히 다루어졌던 시창/청음의 중요성을 강조하였다. 셋째로 지휘부분에서는 테크닉보다는 지도교사가 학생들을 지도함에 있어서 유의해야 할 점과, 지휘자로서의 자세에 대한 부분을 제시하였다. 효과적인 관악합주 연습의 지도를 위해, 합주의 기초가 되는 음계, 셈여림, 하모니, 밸런스, 리듬의 연습법을 설명하였으며, 이 연습을 통해 학생들의 앙상블 능력 발전을 도와 합주의 초석을 다진다. 마지막으로 합주지도에 필요한 합주계획안(시인과 농부, 타령행진곡, 그렌밀러 메들리)을 작성하여 효과적인 관악합주 지도법을 제시하였다. 합주계획안 작성곡들은 논자가 그동안 연주 및 지휘활동을 하면서 경험했던 곡으로써 장르(서곡, 행진곡, 스윙)별로 나누어 정리하였다. 지도교사는 체계적이고 전문적인 지식을 습득하기 위해 끊임없이 노력해야하며 이를 통해 학생들의 음악적 소양 향상이라는 목표를 달성해야 한다. 단순히 이론적 지식의 전달 외에, 학생들이 진지하고 성숙한 자세로 음악을 대하도록 유도하며, 이를 위해서는 학생들에 대한 지도교사의 꾸준한 관심과 격려가 필요하다는 것을 강조하는 바이다. 본 논문을 통해 일선의 고등학교 관악합주를 지도하는 교사들이, 보다 체계적이고 전문적인 지도를 이끌어갔으면 한다. 학생들의 음악적 역량을 효과적으로 발전시키고, 이를 통해 앞으로 관악을 이끌어 나갈 훌륭한 인재들의 탄탄한 지식적 기반과, 연주를 대하는 마음가짐을 다질 수 있기를 바란다.; Music works as an important basis that matures human being mentally and makes life prosperous and has a significant effect on students in terms of emotional stability and purification. Especially instrumental ensemble, one of music activities in adolescence, works very positively in taking out comprehensive group activities from in-and-outside-school events to indoor ensemble, promoting group members' morale and cooperation and formulating the will and belief towards the same goal. The researcher himself conducted the study judging that 'instrumental ensemble' is effective and connecting such merit with intra-school educational activity. Domestic education and activity of instrumental ensemble is mostly realized within high school curriculum, but the education is carried out with the elements more unsystematic and irrational than thought. There is also another problem that the entrance exam-oriented educational system reduces the significance of music education, music activity is restricted by time and space, and the number of teacher is not enough to instruct all the students. In operation, the educational system is weak and the financial support is lacking. It is for sure that the environment and condition is insufficient to lead instrumental ensemble. It is also judged that instrumental ensemble leader is lacking of academic attainments or practical technique that should be prepared. With the purpose of solving such problem, research was carried out as follows. First, this study explains the domestic history of instrumental ensemble and shows students and teachers the trace that instrumental ensemble has developed. Second, this study provides students with the basic method of practice systematically including the breathing that is the basis of instrumental ensemble and basic practices(long tone, scale, tonguing, slur and rhythm). It also emphasizes the significance of sight-reading and hearing that has been neglected by instrumentalists. Third, as for conducting, this study presents notices rather than techniques when a teacher instructs students and the posture of a conductor. To lead the instrumental ensemble practice efficiently, it explains scale, dynamics, harmony, balance and rhythm that are the basis of ensemble. These practices help students develop ensemble technique to harden the ground. Lastly, this study draws an ensemble plan necessary for ensemble instruction(poet and farmer, Taryeong march and Glenn Miller medley) and presents an efficient instrumental ensemble instruction. The tunes in ensemble plan are those that the researcher himself experienced so far through performing and conducting and arranged and classified by genre(overture, march and swing). The teacher should make efforts constantly to acquire systematic and professional knowledge and to attain the goal of promoting students' musical grounding. The teacher should not deliver just the theoretical knowledge, but induce students to face music with more serious and mature attitude. For that, it is necessary for teachers to have constant interest in and encouragement to them. It is desired that this study will help teachers, who are leading high school instrumental ensemble, to instruct it more systematically and professionally. Also it is desired that students' musical ability is efficiently developed, and gifted students who will lead the instrumental music for the future have firm knowledge and attitude toward performance.
