하이든 피아노 소나타에 관한 연구

Abstract

고전주의 시대의 피아노 소나타의 대표적인 작곡가인 프란츠 요셉 하이든(Franz Joseph Haydn 1732-1809)은 전고전주의 시대로부터 이어져 온 소나타 형식을 원숙한 구조로 확립시켰다. 불확실한 소나타 형식을 가지고 있던 그 시대의 하이든의 피아노 소나타에서 그는 전통적인 소나타의 조성구조를 유지하면서 점차 자신만의 독창적인 소나타 형식을 확립시킨다. 피아노 소나타 <Hob.XVI-50, 1794-1795>와 <Hob.XVI-52, 1798>는 하이든의 대표적인 후기 작품으로서 하이든이 이전의 작곡했던 소나타들을 토대로 확립된 소나타 형식 안에서 하이든의 음악특징을 보여주는 대표적 작품으로 볼 수 있다. 이 두 작품에서 우리는 하이든이 조성적으로 으뜸조와 딸림조 관계의 화성 진행을 통해 전통적인 고전주의 소나타 형식의 조성구조를 따르지만 불규칙적인 악구구조를 사용하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 본 논문은 두 작품의 분석을 통해 전통적 소나타의 형식 안에서의 하이든의 불규칙적 음악특징을 연구하였다 하이든의 피아노 소나타 <Hob.XVI-50, 1794-1795>에서는 소나타 주제 사용에 있어 명확한 2개의 대조적인 주제가 아닌 제1주제를 반복 사용함으로써 대조성 보다는 변주형식을 보여주며, 피아노 소나타 <Hob.XVI-52, 1798>는 전통적인 정형의 악구구조에서 벗어나 동기(motive)의 반복과 연장으로 악구구조가 불규칙하게 확장되는 것을 보여주고 있다.; Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), the leading composer of piano sonata in the period of Classicism, completed the sonata form handed down from the pre-classic period. He gradually established his own original sonata form deviating from the piano sonatas in his period while maintaining the traditional tonal structure. His Piano Sonatas, <Hob.XVI-50, 1794-1785>and <Hob.XVI-52, 1798>, were Haydn's representative pieces composed in his later period, Both works display Haydn's musical characteristics based on the sonata form of his previous sonatas. The analysis of the two works, show that Haydn used an irregular phrase structure while following the tonal structure in the form of traditional classical sonata. The Theme of Piano Sonata <Hob.XVI-50, 1794-1795> displays the variation form rather than contrastive effect by repeatedly using the same motive in both first and second thematic groups. Piano sonata <Hob.XVI-52, 1798> shows that the phrasal structure gets irregularly expanded due to the repetition and elongation of motives deviating from the traditional reguler type of the phrasal structure.
