플라워 모티브를 활용한 자카드 넥타이 패턴디자인 연구

Abstract

21세기의 온라인 혁명으로 인해 현대인의 삶이 글로벌화 되면서 소비자들은 보다 다양하고 고급스러운 제품을 원하고 있다. 인간의 본능 중에는 아름다움에 대한 소유욕과 이에 대한 모방, 장식 등에 대한 표현 욕구가 내재되어 있는데 이로부터 자연물의 여러 소재와 형태를 모티프로 하여 장식하는 직물이 생겨났으며 꽃은 가장 선호하는 자연물 중의 하나였다. 그 중 섬유산업 전반에 걸쳐 '꽃'에게 보내는 지지는 매우 열렬하다. 이에 본 연구는 텍스타일디자인 기법 중, 제직 과정에서 고급스러운 색상의 연출과 다양한 패턴 적용이 가능하다는 장점이 있는 자카드 직물에 꽃을 모티프로 한 플라워 패턴을 나타내어 자카드 넥타이를 디자인, 제작하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법은 문헌 연구와 조사 연구를 병행하였는데, 자카드 직물과 플라워 패턴디자인, 넥타이 디자인에 대한 고찰을 위해 국내외 단행본과 선행 연구논문 등의 학술 연구자료와 전문서적을 중심으로 문헌 연구를 하였다. 플라워 패턴 텍스타일디자인 사례는 어패럴, 인테리어, 패션액세서리 등 세 가지로 분류하고, 플라워 패턴 자카드 직물 넥타이 사례는 국내 브랜드, 국외 브랜드로 나누어 인터넷 사이트 및 간행물을 통해 조사, 분석하였다. 자카드 넥타이 디자인 방법은 플라워 패턴디자인을 위해 태블릿(Tablet)을 이용하여 일러스트(Adobe Illustrator CS3)와 페인터(Corel Painter IX) 프로그램에서 꽃을 디자인 하였으며, 전체적인 구도를 잡기 위해 포토샵(Adobe Photoshop CS3) 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구 범위에는 자카드 직물의 특징에 대한 고찰, 플라워 패턴의 상징성 및 패턴 구성에 관한 연구, 넥타이 디자인에 대한 고찰, 플라워 패턴 텍스타일디자인 사례 분석, 그리고 이러한 이론적 고찰을 기반으로 플라워 패턴 자카드 넥타이 디자인, 제작에 관한 설명이 포함되어진다. 본 연구의 내용은 다음과 같이 정리 되어진다. Ⅱ장은 자카드 직물 디자인과 플라워 패턴디자인, 넥타이 디자인에 대한 이론적 고찰로서 자카드 직물은 각종 조직을 조합 또는 색사를 사용해서 만든 문양이 있는 직물인데, 색상 표현이 풍부하고 입체감이 뛰어나다. 그리고 꽃이 지니고 있는 다양한 상징성으로 인해 직물에 표현된 플라워 패턴은 텍스타일디자인에서 많이 표현되고 있다. 또한 대표적인 남성 패션액세서리인 넥타이는 17세기부터 현재까지 꾸준히 발전하여 다양한 형태와 문양이 나타나고 있다. Ⅲ장은 플라워 패턴 텍스타일디자인의 사례를 집중적으로 분석하고 있으며, 다양한 라이프스타일과 개성을 추구하는 시대적 특성으로 말미암아 모든 생활공간에서 플라워 패턴이 나타나 텍스타일디자인과 자카드 직물 넥타이에 어떻게 사용되었는지 여러 사례들을 찾아보고 살펴보았다. Ⅳ장에서는 넥타이의 직접 제작과정과 결과물로서의 플라워 패턴 자카드 직물 넥타이 디자인을 제시하고 있다. 현대의 남성들에게 있어 넥타이는 개성표현의 한 수단으로서 이로 인해 다양한 감성과 자기표현이 가능하기에 본 연구자가 플라워 패턴을 자카드 직물에 적용하여 자카드 넥타이를 제작하였다. 작품의 테마는 고상· 세련(Elegant & Sophisticated), 상냥· 친밀(Gentle & Warm), 인간· 자연(Humanistic & Natural)의 세 가지로 분류하여 디자인 하였다. 이번 자카드 넥타이 제품들은 그동안의 본인의 삶에서 매우 큰 영감의 모티프가 되어왔던 꽃에 대한 사랑을 다양하게 표현할 수 있었던 뜻 깊고 흥미로운 작업이 되었으며, 따뜻하고 화사하고 찬란하기까지 한 플라워 패턴 넥타이를 통해 자기만의 개성을 표현할 수 있기를 기대해본다.; Consumers are desirous of more various and luxurious products as the life of modern people has been globalized because of the online revolution in the 21st century. Human instincts include the possessive and imitative desires to beauty, the expressive urges for ornaments, from which people have created textiles with decorations under motifs of diverse materials and patterns from the natural objects. Accordingly, flowers are one of the most favorite natural objects. Among them, supports for 'flowers' from the whole textile industry are very ardent. Subsequently, this study aims at designing and making Jacquard neckties depicting the flower patterns under a motif of flowers to Jacquard textiles, which make it possible to demonstrate luxurious colors and various pattern applications in the weaving process among the textile designing techniques. The literature research and investigation research were in parallel carried out in the research methodology. In order to examine Jacquard textiles, flower pattern designs and necktie designs, the literature research was done around the research materials and professional books, including domestic and foreign single editions, preceding research articles, etc. Textile designing examples for flower patterns were classified into three categories such as apparels, interiors and fashion accessories. Jacquard necktie examples for flower patterns were examined and analyzed through the Internet sites and publications for both domestic brands and foreign brands, respectively. Flower designs were done with Adobe Illustrator CS3 using tablets and Corel Painter IX program for the flower pattern designing as part of Jacquard necktie designing methodologies. Also, Adobe Photoshop CS3 was used to organize the overall composition. The research scope included considerations on features of Jacquard textiles, studies on the symbolism of flower patterns and pattern configuration, reviews on necktie designs, example analyses on the textile designs for flower patterns, and descriptions on Jacquard necktie designing and production for flower patterns based on such theoretical considerations. The contents of this study can be summarized as follows. Chapter II describes theoretical considerations on Jacquard textile designs, flower pattern designs and necktie designs. Jacquard textiles refer to fabrics with patterns assembling various textures or using color yarns, which have rich expressions in color and excellent 3-D feelings. Flower patterns expressed on textiles are frequently shown on the textile designs due to the diverse symbolism featured by flowers. In addition, neckties as the representative fashion accessories for men show various shapes and patterns while having continuous advancement from the 17th century to now. Chapter III focuses on analyzing textile design examples for flower patterns. Many examples were found out and examined to see how flower patterns emerged from all the life spaces, and how they were applied to the textile designs and Jacquard textile neckties, considering the characteristics of times to pursue for various lifestyles and personalities. Chapter IV suggests Jacquard textile necktie designs for flower patterns as outcomes resulting from the direct production process for neckties. This researcher made Jacquard neckties by applying flower patterns to Jacquard textiles because neckties make it possible to express various emotions and expressions on one's own ways as a means to express personalities for men. Themes for works were classified into three categories for designing, such as "Elegant & Sophisticated", "Gentle & Warm", and "Humanistic & Natural". These Jacquard necktie products have given me meaningful and interesting works to express love in flowers, which have given me great inspirations in my life until now. The author expects to express one's own personalities through neckties with flower patterns which are warm, elegant and splendid.
