dc.description.abstractAbstract In these years, food safety has emerged as an important global issue. The government has enhanced the food safety risk management all over the world. So it is important to better understand consumer evaluations in the food safety of food and the factors by which this is influences. The researches about consumer evaluations of food safety risk management quality have been researched in Canada, USA and Europe. However, these researches have only just begun in Asia. So this paper focuses on these issues and had empirical study and theoretic analysis. In this paper we identified proactive consumer protection, opaque and reactive risk management, skepticism in risk assessment and communication practices, honesty of food risk managers, expertise of food risk managers as potential determinants of consumer evaluations of food safety management quality. The goal of this paper is that: 1) Bring these factors together in one model, establish a SEM model. 2) To examine the extent to which the influence of these factors is country-specific (The Comparing respondents from China and Korea). Survey questions were developed using focus groups. The postal survey (N=640) was undertaken in China (N=320) and Korea (N=320). And use the AMOS18.0 to analyze these data. In addition, these determinants were distinguished in terms of their relationship with age, gender, income, vacation, number of family members and final education level. This paper is made up of 6 sections. The first section is the background and introduced the review of exiting literatures abroad and at Korea and China. The second section is the theoretical background. The third section focuses the research model and the variables which include in hypothesis are described. The fourth section is the most important one; in this section I used SPSS 18.0 and AMOS18.0 to measure the model. The fifth section is the results about the empirical analysis. The last section is about the conclusions,-
