dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the traveling system is modeled for conventional type hydraulic excavators and series/parallel hybrid excavstors using a commercial software MSC.EASY5. The hybrid type employs regenerative braking system and the control methods are different for series and parallel types. From the simulation results of hybrid and conventional excavators traveling same moving pattern, it was shown that hybrid type has better fuel efficiency. Parallel type had an improved fuel efficincy of 61.5% and serial type had 62.5% over the coventional system. And serial / parallel type excavator of control method and regenerative braking was able to identify the characteristics. The model obtained by this research can be applied to analyze the hybrid control method and regenerative braking system and other kinds of construction machine vehicle system.-
