dc.description.abstract우리나라에서는 많은 인재가 국내에서 양성되지 못하고 유학을 통해 개인적인 노력으로 자신의 재능을 키워가는 실정이다. 기능위주의 미술교과와 체계적인 교육시스템의 부족에 대한 근본적인 대책과 인식의 변화가 필요하다. 개인적으로는 영재성을 가진 학생들은 자신의 능력을 극대화 시키고 더 나아가 창의적이고 창조적인 노력으로 사회에 공헌해야한다. 사회적으로는 인재를 조기에 발굴 ‧ 육성하여 국가발전의 중요한 기틀을 마련해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 영재와 미술영재의 정의 및 특성을 개념화 시켜 전반적인 미술영재교육에 대하여 기술하였다. 영재교육진흥법, 영재교육시행령과 영재교육진흥종합계획을 바탕으로 미술영재교육의 현황을 파악하였고, 미술영재교육의 국내현황에 대해서 살펴봄과 동시에 미술영재교육의 사례현황을 파악하고 미술영재교육의 방향성을 제시하였다. 발전적인 미술영재교육을 위해서는 교사의 전문성을 제고, 전문 인력의 투입, 각 기관간의 활발한 교류, 미술영재교육의 교사연수기회 확대 및 지속적인 노력과 끝으로 정책적인 부분이 뒷받침 될 때 우리나라의 미술영재교육의 미래는 밝을 것이다. 미술교육가의 일원으로서 미술교육영재교육의 질적 양적 성장을 바란다. | A great number of talented and gifted Korean students go abroad to cultivate their talents further with their own personal efforts, rather than getting education in Korea. By acknowledging the problems dealing with the technique-oriented art classes and the lack of methodical art education system, fundamental solutions and new perspectives should be implemented. At individual level, talented students should realize their potentials to their maximum level and contribute to the society in a creative way. At societal level, talented students should be found at early age and be given opportunities to cultivate their talents, establishing a foundation for national growth. In this paper, the definition and characteristics of talented students and talented arts students are conceptualized to explain the overall process of education for talented arts students. The actual condition of education for talented arts students is identified based on the Act on the Promotion of Education for the Gifted and Talented, the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Promotion of Education for the Gifted and Talented and the Comprehensive Plan for the Act on the Promotion of Education for the Gifted and Talented. Also, the future direction of education for talented arts students is suggested while examining the current status and case studies of education for talented arts students in Korea. In order to ensure the bright future of education for talented arts students, it would require consistent efforts in the promotion of teachers' specialties, the input of professional human resources, active exchanges between institutions, the enlargement of training programs for teachers of talented arts students, and, last but not least, political support. As one of art educators, I look forward to witness a significant growth of Korean education for talented arts students in terms of both quantity and quality in the near future.; A great number of talented and gifted Korean students go abroad to cultivate their talents further with their own personal efforts, rather than getting education in Korea.
