This study presents interior noise characteristics of high-speed train comparing with several operating conditions. The differences of spectra characteristic of trains with running speed increasing may have to make that Zwicker’s loudness is higher even though A-weighted sound pressure level is lower. When low frequency bands are dominant, Zwicker’s loudness is more sensitive for high frequency bands changed by aerodynamic noise than the dB(A), and sharpness increases with increasing of high frequency bands. The subjective evaluation for stationary noise results show that hearing characteristics, such as annoyance and sound loudness, are more related to Zwicker’s loudness than the dB(A). Also, the sharpness is related to annoyance. Zwicker’s loudness and sharpness evaluate high-speed train interior noise characteristics more accurately than the dB(A) when high frequency bands increase due to the high-speed running condition. For transient noise due to entering into or going out tunnel, it is necessary to suggest more suitable index instead of dB(A), loudness and percentile loudness.-
