dc.description.abstractPut one of the most prevalent problems encountered in washing machine is the vibration during spin cycle. The primary cause of this vibration is mass unbalance associated with non-unformed distribution of clothes. The balance of washing machine plays an important role which reduces the vibration by injecting the salt water into the balance of washing. Therefore, we researched on the balancer optimization in order to reduce the initial vibration during a low-speed spin cycle while satisfying the final vibration at high-speed spin cycle within reliable regions. Especially, to perform an optimization process efficiently, an approximated vibration model, which is a function by using the experiment data based on an orthogonal array, was created by RBFR method. In conclusion, it is demonstrated by experiment that the optimum balancer is reduced vibration while satisfying the design requirement.-
