- Abstract
- Calcium phosphate cements were produced by the mixing of calcium phosphate powders in an aqueous solution resulting in a room temperature synthesized hydroxyapatite. They can be formulated in different shapes such as in situ setting injectable cements, porous blocks. Calcium phosphate cements are mouldable, injectable, bioresorbable, osteoconductive. However, the mechanical properties need to be improved. In this study, make basis and studied Norian-SRS that is commercialized present. This is excellent osteoconductive but, viscosity and mechanical property are low. So add polymer that have viscous and supplemented this. As a result, setting time decreased because viscous rises and strength also rose. Also, polymer got result that pore that included CPC is microscopic occurs and cell is thriving. Through this, saw that CPC does biocompatibility.
