dc.description.abstractA small loop-type mobile antenna with reduced interference of nearby conductors for Wi-Fi application is proposed. The proposed antenna has a small volume of 8 X 4 X 3 mm3 to be easily implemented within mobile devices as well as a simple structure using chip capacitors without need for any extra matching network. In this thesis, we place a LCD under the proposed antenna to discuss the effects of conductors. The proposed antenna has less effect from the LCD and radiates efficiently over Wi-Fi band. The measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna with the criteria of a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) < 3 was 120 MHz (2.38 GHz - 2.5 GHz), and the measured antenna efficiency is 50.2%.-
