dc.description.abstract | Stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) is one of the most dominant nonlinear effects in a single mode optical fiber due to lower threshold than other nonlinear effects. above the SBS threshold power, incident light is scattered to backward which is not desirable for optical communication system and also SBS limits the amounts of optical power of optical fiber. in this paper, SBS threshold equation was derived from fundamental nonlinear wave equation and the acoustic wave equation. then SBS threshold calculation program was developed by using COMSOL Multiphysics and LabVIEW. by using SBS threshold calculation program, 3dBm SBS threshold enhanced single mode optical fiber which is satisfied ITU-T G.652 value was simulated | - |
