지하철 행선안내게시기의 정보 디자인 개선방안

Abstract

21세기의 현대 사회는 과학 기술의 발전에 따른 산업화와 도시화, 정보통신 혁명에 따른 정보화 시대이다. 이러한 사회적 변화는 대도시로 인구를 집중시켰으며, 이 때문에 현대의 대도시는 교통대란을 겪고 있다. 특히 출·퇴근 시각과 같은 러시아워에는 대규모 승객의 이동을 신속하게 처리하는 지하철에 대한 의존도가 나날이 높아지고 있다. 지하철은 대도시에서의 교통 혼잡을 완화하고, 에너지 효율성 및 환경문제 등의 공공적인 측면에서 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 지하철 이용객들이 해마다 증가함에 따라 개찰구와 승강장, 환승 통로에서의 열차 행선지 안내에 대한 정보가 빠르게 요구되고 있으며, 이 때문에 지하철 행선안내게시기 (TDE : Train Destination Equipment)에 대한 중요성도 높아지고 있다. 현재 서울 도시철도에서 운영하고 있는 행선안내게시기는 광고 수익을 목적으로 운영되고 있어 열차 행선지 안내에 대한 정보 제공이 이용객들에게 효율적으로 이루어지지 못하고 있으며, 공사별 운영체제가 달라서 각기 다른 시각요소들로 디자인적 측면은 미흡한 실정이다. 지하철 이용객들이 열차 이용하기에 앞서 필요한 정보는 무엇이며, 현재 운영되고 있는 지하철 행선안내게시기의 문제점을 도출하여 과거 운영자 중심으로 된 정보 체계를 이용자 중심의 정보 체계로 디자인되도록 하는 것이 이 연구의 목적을 두고 있다.| The 21st century of the modern society is the age of industrialization and urbanization in the consequence of the advancement of science and technology, and also an info-communications revolution and resultant information age. Especially the rate of dependence on subway is becoming higher for the large-scale transfer of passengers during the rush-hour commute. The metro system relieves traffic congestion and takes an important role in public sectors of energy efficiency and environmental issues. However, the information of ticket barriers, platforms, and destinations in the transfer stations is demanding more and more. In respect of this, the importance of Train Destination Equipment (TDE) is emphasized. At present, because TDE of Seoul Metro is operated for the purpose of advertising revenue, it is not being used effectively and because each operating system of all public corporations is different, design is insufficient with all different visual elements.
