Abstract
점차 국제우주시장이 확대되면서 달에 유인 및 무인탐사 미션을 고려함에 따라, 달 토양의 속성 및 습성을 재현할 수 있도록 그와 매우 유사한 달 복제토 개발이 요구된다. 이러한 달 복제토는 달 표면에서 사용되는 장비, 기계, 메커니즘, 구조 및 프로세스의 성능을 확인을 위해서 필요하기 때문이다. 뿐만 아니라, 지구의 자원부족 및 자연재해의 영향으로 인구분포 집중도가 증가하고 있기 때문에 새로운 우주공간에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이처럼 달에 우주기지를 건설하려면 건설자제가 필요하며, 그 운송수단 및 비용은 예상이 불가능하기 때문에 달 자체에서 건설자재를 만들고 활용하는 방법(ISRU)을 연구하고 있다. 따라서 향후 이와 같은 연구를 위해서는 달 복제토가 필수적으로 요구된다. 그러나 달 토양은 지구의 토양과 생성원인이 달라 상당히 다른 특성을 보이며 이에 따라 똑같이 복제하는 것 자체가 어렵고 비용도 많이 든다. 과거 자체적으로 제작한 한국형 달 복제토(KOHLS-1)는 기계적 성질이 달 토양과 유사하여 달 복제토로 인정받았다. 그러나 달 토양과 얼마나 유사한지에 대한 검증이 부족하다고 판단되어 본 연구에서는 그 적합성에 대해 알아볼 것이다. 나아가 한국형 달 복제토(KOHLS-1)를 개선시키기 위해 달 토양의 핵심 구성요소인 어글루티네이트에 대한 연구 및 실험분석을 통해 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 하여 KOHLS-1A를 만드는 것이 목적이다. |According to taking account of manned and unmanned exploration mission on the moon, we are required to development of the lunar simulants to reproduce the properties of lunar soil. These lunar soil is necessary to verify the performance of the equipment which is machinery, mechanism, structure, and process on the surface. In addition, because the concentration ratio of the population distribution is increasing to the influence of the natural disasters and lack of resources in the earth. So, the study about new place, that is, space is being accelerated. Thus, we require to the construction materials to build a space station on the moon. But because the cost and transport of that materials can not be estimated, we are studying how to make construction materials and utilize on the moon(In-situ resources utilization, ISRU). Therefore, we need to lunar simulant in order to such research in the future, essentially. But, lunar soil have unique properties because of different formation process with the soil on the earth. So, it is difficult to reproduce with the lunar soil completely and costly. KOHLS-1(Korea Hanyang Lunar Simulant) which produced autonomously in the past was achieved recognition as lunar simulant because of similar to mechanical properties of the lunar soil. However, KOHLS-1 is deemed insufficient to the verification how similar with the luanr soil. So, we are to learn about suitability of the lunar simulant in the study.
