dc.description.abstract | Reducing the total life cycle costs and improving safety of trains are of great interest for those who build, maintain and operate trains. The maintenance interval for re-profiling has become a major issue to support that purpose. The need for CBM(Condition Based Maintenance) is increasing day by day. Most of existing studies on CBM have been focused on machinery such as bearings and gears. The method monitoring wheels of the vehicle has not been fully studied yet. In this paper, we propose the method of health monitoring and diagnostics using short-time Fourier transform(STFT) and hurst exponent to analyze vibration data collected from a high speed train. The suggested method is applied to field data from the high speed train. | - |
