- In order to respond to the change of brought by the rapid improvements in
information and communications technology (ICT) in and out of Korea, the government is
putting forth a new objective and direction for information of train industry and is
establishing and implementing strategic plans in order to enhance the competency of train
industry, through efficient investment in the business of train information industry and the
harmonic development between the civil and public divisions.
Therefore, this article, based on the IoT technology, the XROIS of the current operating
system due to the development of ICT, and the ITS Basic Plan 21, organized the mobile
ecosystem into elements, including activity elements, space elements, facility elements, risk
elements, and related elements, and structured a networked optimized according to element,
function and purpose. By establishing plans to build Web 2.0 Smart Railway platform, this
paper provides a platform model that optimum a two-way information communication that
ensures safety and operational efficiency whenever, wherever, and by anybody, and creates
new value services. Also, it has confirmed the potential of smart devices, two-way
information communication and between IoT through the development of Web 2.0 smart
sensor nodes of basic elements, and confirmed the possibility of utilizing battery issues of
sensor nodes as electricity sources through energy harvesting.
This thesis, as a precedent study for the construction of duplex intelligent railway
management platform, analyzed the limit of one directional information transmission in
intelligent traffic system, examined the problems of existing railway system and improved
it. The summary of the result is following.
(1) It established a concept of duplex intelligent platform construction system using
IOT and Information and communication technology.
(2) To transform the vibrational energy generated by the run of vehicle,
electromagnetic induction method through up and down repetitive movement of neodymium
magnet inserted inside. Through experiment, the possibility of electricity supply source
more than 5~20v that is necessary for sensor node was confirmed.
(3) The problem of mere communication of existing sensor module was analyzed and
intelligent sensor node was produced. The two-way communications that use smart device
and Bluetooth was materialized with the measurements from 3-axis acceleration sensor and
risk recognition by input algorithm.
