dc.description.abstractIn this study, we designed and synthesized A-D-A type and D-A-D-A-D type of small molecular donor materials containing alternatively linked benzodithiophene and isoindigo or diketopyrrolopyrrole units. Also, we studied on the effect of substituent and alkyl chains. And we studied on the effect of photovoltaic performance of prepared small molecular D-A-D-A-D type donor with variation of thiophene links and with/without hexyl substituent. Finally, 2.46% of PCE can be obtained using a mixture of A-D-A type small molecular donor and PCBM as an active layer with a Voc of 0.99 V, a Jsc of 6.82 mA/cm2, and a fill factor of 0.36 under 100 mW/cm2 AM 1.5G simulated light. Finally, 4.80% of PCE can be obtained using a mixture of synthesized small molecular donor and PCBM as an active layer with a Voc of 0.85 V, a Jsc of 11.18 mA/cm2, and a fill factor of 0.51 under 100 mW/cm2 AM 1.5G simulated light. We will discuss the performance of D-A-D-A-D type small molecular donor based OPVs with variation of both terminal substituents.-
