Abstract
In recently, the Cloud Computing technology that provides the virtual computing resources has been received attention. Now, the almost commercialized Cloud services are a type of single service that is implemented by one service provider. The single Cloud service has difficult problems as service availability, malicious insider attack, vendor lock-in and so on. To resolve these problems, the Multi-Cloud model has emerged. The Multi-Cloud model can supplement the weakness of the single Cloud service and make synergy effect through the interaction between the multiple Cloud services. But the security issues and challenges that are occurred in the single Cloud environment can occur in the Multi-Cloud environment. In this paper, we aim to resolve the problem of user authentication among the security issues. Therefore, we first defined the Multi-Cloud model based Cloud Broker, and we proposed the user authentication protocol for defined Multi-Cloud model. The proposed user authentication protocol can provides to users service transparency and convenience, and it can prevent the impersonation attack of the Cloud service provider who knows the users’ information. If some problem occur in the system by the users, the proposed protocol can prevent user to repudiate his or her illegal deed.
