Abstract
Remediation of existing activities have a lot of problems such as use a lot of energy, water, materials and discharge solid waste, air pollutant, waste water resulting in environmental pollution. Because of these problems, many country try to apply Green Remediation defined as considering environmental effects of remediation and minimizing the environmental footprint of cleanup action by The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In order to achieve Green Remediation strategy, a quantitative analysis of environmental footprint in remedy action is considered. a Quantitative data of remedy action can give information about which process of the remediation has the most environmental footprint and the footprint reductions caused by application of Green Remediation. For this reason, tool based on life cycle assessment to calculate environmental footprint in cleanup action was developed by various institutions. However, Most tool has few problem to use in the field. a lot of work that calculate the material of process limit smoothly access to environmental assessment. Uncertain regulation also prevent objective footprint analysis. Another limit of these tool can not give the information of method to achieve Green Remediation and benefit when carried out Green Remediation practice. In this research, Footprint analysis system is developed to improve few limits of these tools by establishing basic condition. Case study performed in TPH contaminated site is also carried out to conform the applicability of Footprint analysis system. Green Remediation Practice of Case is arranged and adapted to recognize benefit of Green Remediation.
