Abstract
경제성장에 따른 주거공간 부족난을 해소하기 위해 도입된 도심형 주거공간은 고객들의 욕구가 다양해지면서 단순한 주거공간에서 감성적 가치를 제공하는 공간의 역할을 요구받고 있다. 기업들은 감성적 가치를 전달할 수 있는 수단으로 실내 공간 디자인에 대한 투자를 확대하고 있고, 제품 회전율이 빠르고 트렌드에 민감한 서피스패턴디자인에 관한 관심이 대두되고 있다. 선행 연구 고찰 결과 최근 실내 인테리어와 실내 코디네이션에 관한 연구가 지속되면서 다양한 디자인 요인들이 등장하고 있지만 아직까지는 서피스패턴디자인의 디자인속성에 대한 개념 정립이나 고객의 요구사항 적용에 대한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 도심형 주거공간에 적용되는 서피스패턴디자인의 디자인 프로세스 전반에 QFD를 적용한 포괄적인 실증적 연구로 서피스패턴디자인의 개념을 정의하고 고객이 고려하는 고객요구속성을 알아봄으로써, 그에 따른 디자인속성을 도출하고 중요도를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 고객의 니즈가 반영된 디자인속성 분석 데이터를 제시하여 최근 불황을 겪고 있는 인테리어 및 서피스패턴디자인 산업의 경쟁력 제고에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 연구 방법으로 문헌 및 선행 연구 고찰을 통해 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 개념과 현황을 고찰하였고, QFD이론에 관한 이론적 배경을 알아보았다. 또한 웹 서베이(Web Survey)를 이용한 설문 조사를 실시하여 SPSS 12.0 통계 프로그램을 이용한 정량적 연구 및 전문가를 활용한 QFD 분석 기법으로 고객요구속성과 디자인속성의 관계 및 디자인속성의 중요도를 분석하였다. 최종적으로 QFD 모형을 제시하고 실무자 평가를 진행함으로써 본 연구 결과의 실효성을 알아보았다. 연구 범위로는 현재 도심형 주거공간을 가장 많이 보유하고 있는 서울, 경기 지역으로 한정 짓고 아파트, 주상복합, 오피스텔로 유형을 제한하였다. 또한 최근 1년간 서피스패턴디자인 관련 제품인 커튼, 벽지, 가구의 구매 경험이 있는 성인 남녀를 대상으로 설문을 진행하여 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 고객요구속성을 알아봄으로써 디자인속성에 관한 실증적 연구를 하였다. 이론적 배경 고찰 결과 도심형 주거공간은 아파트, 주상복합, 오피스텔의 형태로 발전되어 왔으며, 도심형 주거공간에 적용되는 서피스패턴디자인은 컬러와 모티프, 구성으로 이루어진 디자인속성의 조합 방식에 따라 용도에 맞는 다채로운 서피스패턴디자인의 개발이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 사례로 아파트는 공간과 잘 어울리고 편안한 디자인, 주상복합은 현대적이고 모던한 디자인이 나타났으며, 오피스텔에서는 세련되고 스타일리시한 디자인이 사용된 것으로 나타나 그 범위가 확장되는 추세임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 QFD를 활용하여 고객 니즈를 반영한 디자인속성을 체계화할 경우 상품 개발 초기 단계에서부터 명확한 품질의 디자인 제품 개발 및 프로세스 구축이 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 디자인속성에 관한 실증적 연구 결과를 다음과 같이 도출하였다. 첫째, 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 고객요구속성을 반영하여 디자인개선요소를 도출시킨 결과 고객들은 답답한 도심지 주거공간으로 인한 물리적 단점을 보완해주기를 기대하고, 이로써 심리적 만족을 얻고자 하므로 무엇보다도 조화롭고 편안한 이미지의 디자인 기획이 필요하다는 점을 알 수 있었다. 기존의 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인은 심플하고 단순한 이미지의 디자인을 주로 생산하였으나, 공간과 잘 어울리고 편안한 느낌을 주면서도 더욱 컬러매치가 좋고 스타일이 좋은 이미지의 제품을 만들 수 있도록 컬러, 모티프의 선택과 패턴 구성에서 변화가 필요하며, 우선적으로 개선되어야 하는 디자인속성들을 참고하여야 할 것으로 판단되었다. 둘째, QFD 방법론을 중심으로 고객요구속성을 반영한 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인의 디자인속성을 도출한 결과 가장 우선적으로 고려해야할 중요한 속성은 컬러인 것으로 나타났다. 모티프나 패턴 구성도 고객의 요구를 만족시키기 위한 중요한 요소들이나, 특히 컬러에서 나타나는 이미지가 제품의 가격, 이미지, 판매 대상을 바꿀 수 있고, 고객의 니즈를 세분화한 디자인 개발을 위하여 컬러 선택이 가장 중요한 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 관련 업계 실무자의 평가를 통해 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인에 대한 QFD의 적용 절차 및 효용성을 평가한 결과 QFD 적용 시 경쟁력 확보와 고객만족 품질경영이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. QFD를 이용한 분석을 통하여 고객의 요구사항이 반영된 디자인속성을 도출해 냄으로써 고객 요구에 따른 디자인속성을 세부적으로 분석할 수 있었으며, 향후 기업에서 도심형 주거공간 서피스패턴디자인을 기획하고 생산하는 과정에서 시간 단축과 그로 인한 생산비용 절감 등의 효용성이 예측되었다. 도심형 주거공간의 서피스패턴디자인 개발 시 다양화된 고객의 니즈를 충족시키기 위해서는 체계적 기준과 효율적 프로세스를 연구하여야 하며 그러한 도구의 일환으로 QFD를 적용한 결과, 고객 요구가 반영된 디자인속성을 분석, 검증하여 제시할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과로 제시된 QFD 매트릭스는 다양한 방식으로 개발, 활용될 수 있으며, 그에 따른 경제적 효율성과 기술적 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구를 토대로 후속 연구에서는 소재 개발 및 제품 기획과 생산까지 적용시킬 수 있는 총체적 연구가 기대되며, 다양한 적용 대상과 구체적 제품 품목별로 확대된 연구로 발전되어 관련 산업의 저변 확대와 경쟁력 제고에 기여하기를 바란다.| The urban housing space introduced to solve the housing shortage according to economic growth is required to play a role of space to provide the emotional value in a simple housing space while the needs of clients are getting more diverse. Businesses are expanding investment in the interior space design as a means to convey the emotional value, the interest on the surface pattern design with faster product turnover and sensitive to trends is emerging. As a result of reviewing on previous researches various design factors are recently emerging while studies continue to be made for interior design and interior design coordination, but studies on the conception of the design attributes of surface design or application of customer requirement are still insufficient. Accordingly this study is the comprehensive empirical study QFD (Quality Function Deployment) applied through the design process of surface pattern design applicable to the urban housing space, which is designed to derive the design attributes and to analyze its importance of defining the concept of surface pattern design and to understanding the customer required attributes taken into account by the customer. Through this it was intended to be of help in raising the competitiveness of interior design and surface pattern design industry recently suffering from the recession by presenting the analysis data on design attributes reflected with needs of customer. Thorough review of the literature and previous studies as a research method the concept and status of urban housing space surface pattern design were considered, and the theoretical background on QFD theory was examined. In addition the relationship between customer requirement attributes and design attributes and the importance of design attributes were analyzed with the quantitative studies using SPSS 12.0 statistical program and the QFD analytical technique utilizing experts by conducting a survey using a web survey. Finally, the effectiveness of this study was evaluated by presenting QFD model and conducting the practitioner's evaluation. The study range was limited to Seoul & Gyeonggi-do area currently holding the most urban housing space, whose types were limited to apartments, commercial complex, and officetels. Additionally the empirical study of design attributes was made by examining the customer required attributes of urban housing space surface pattern design through conduction of the survey for adult men and women with experience of buying surface pattern design-related products, such as curtains, wallpaper, furniture during the past year. As a result of reviewing on theoretical background, the urban housing space has been developed into forms of apartments, commercial complex, and officetels, it could be found that for the surface pattern design applicable to the urban housing space it is possible to develop colorful surface pattern designs which can fit your needs depending on the combination manner of the design attributes made of color, motif, and configuration. In the case of urban housing space surface pattern design as the apartments were shown to be a nice place in harmony with space with cozy design, commercial complex to be of modern design, and officetels to be of sophisticated & stylish design, the range could be found to tend to be extended. Besides, when you organize the design attributes that reflect customer needs by leveraging QFD, it could be found that it is possible to develop design product with clear quality and to build up process from the initial step of product development. The empirical research results from design attributes of urban housing space surface pattern design were derived as follows. First, as a result of deriving design improvement factors reflecting the customer required attributes of urban housing space surface pattern design as customers now expect to complement the physical disadvantages caused by the tight urban housing space, and from which want to get the psychological satisfaction it could be found that the design planning with harmonious and comfortable image is required above all. The existing urban housing space surface pattern design was mainly creating a simple image design, changes in selection of color, motif and pattern configuration are required so that good-imaged products with not only harmony with space and comfortable feeling but also more better color-matched and good style can be created, the design attributes that need to be improved first were judged to be considered. Second, as a result of deriving design attributes of urban housing space surface pattern design reflected with customer required attributes around QFD methodology the important attribute to be considered by the highest priority was shown to be the color. The motifs or pattern configurations are important factors to meet the needs of customers, in particular the image appearing in the color can change the product price, images, the sales target, for customer needs segmented design development the color selection could be found to be the most important factor. Third, as a result of the evaluation of the QFD application process and effectiveness of the urban housing space surface pattern design through the evaluation by practitioners in related industry the competitiveness secured and customer satisfied quality management were shown to be available in the application of QFD. It was possible to analyze the design attributes caused by customer needs in detail by deriving the design attributes reflected with customer requirements through the analysis using QFD, the utility such as time reduction and cost savings were predicted in the process of planning & producing the urban housing space surface pattern design in the companies in the future. In order to meet the diverse customer needs in the development of urban housing space surface pattern design the systematic standards and efficient process should be studied, as a result of the application of QFD as part of such tools, the design attributes reflected with customer needs could be analyzed, verified and presented. QFD matrix presented in the results of the study can be developed & utilized in different manners, its economic efficiency and technological competitiveness are deemed to be able to be secured.
