dc.description.abstractThis study validated the small scaled finite element model by comparison of an experiment of a prototype in order to propose a coreless-type WPT system for a railway. For more accurate electromagnetic analysis, the coils need to be modeled individually by drawing a cross sectional area with a same copper area of each coil. The performance of a proposed model was 90.73% of the KAIST model[7] as results of real size models analysed again using a validated modeling technique. In this study, the shape of secondary pick-up core was changed and results showed that the performance of the redesigned coreless-type WPT system was improved as the 92.99% of the KAIST model[7]. In conclusion, it is possible to estimate and improve the performance of a real size coreless-type WPT model for the railway using this validated modeling technique.-
