dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) control by considering driving conditions. When the AEB system is designed based on vehicle stopping distance, the control strategy of AEB algorithm needs to be adapted by driving conditions such as road friction and road slope. Assuming that real-time information of the road friction and road slope is provided, their effects on the emergency braking performance are investigated. The control strategy for incorporating the effects are designed using the adaptive control technique. The proposed algorithm is validated by using the computer simulation software, the CarSim.-
