라벨의 피아노곡과 관현악 편곡의 비교분석

Abstract

<고풍스런 미뉴에트>(Menuet Antique)는 라벨(Maurice Ravel, 1875-1937)의 뛰어난 관현악 기법을 확인할 수 있는 작품으로서 두 개의 성격이 다른 동기를 가진 A부분과 트리오인 B부분으로 구성되어 있다. A-B-A 구조로 되어 있는 <고풍스런 미뉴에트>는 주제가 자주 반복되고 동형진행의 기법이 많이 쓰이는데 이로 인해 지루하고 특징이 없게 보일 수 있는 음악을 다양한 음색과 악상의 변화를 통해 다채롭게 만들었다. 본 논문은 라벨의 <고풍스런 미뉴에트>를 대상으로 다음과 같은 목적으로 연구를 수행하였다. 첫째, 피아노곡의 구성과 특징을 분석하여 원곡의 음악적 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 둘째, 관현악 편곡 속에서 편성되는 악기와 조합 등을 알아봄으로써 관현악으로 편곡했을 때의 변화를 원곡과 비교분석한다. 셋째, 관현악 편곡을 통해 원곡이 표현하고자 했던 내용을 보다 명확히 인식해보고자 한다. <고풍스런 미뉴에트>에서 나타난 그의 관현악 편곡의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 악상의 변화에 따른 다양한 악기 배치이다. 둘째는, 선율의 특성에 따른 악기 조합이다. 셋째는, 동형진행에 따라 변하는 악기의 확대 사용이다. 마지막으로 금관을 통한 클라이맥스, 동적인 플루트 파트, 원곡에 없는 새로운 선율과 리듬의 추가 등 라벨의 개성이 나타나는 편곡이다.|Menuet Antique is a piece of music that shows Ravel(1875-1937)'s excellent orchestral music techniques. It consists of part A which have two different motives and part B trio. The subject of Menuet Antique that has A-B-A structure repeats often and it uses sequence so it might be boring. But to overcome this problem it uses various tones of color and dynamic. This thesis is a research about the Maurice Ravel's Menuet Antique for objects as below. First, I will analyze the formation of piano music and find the characteristic. Second, I will analyze the mixing of instruments of the orchestration compare with the original music focused on the change. Third, I wanted to recognize the subject of original music definitely through the orchestration. The characteristic of the orchestration of Menuet Antique is as below. First, It has various instrument arrangements as the change of dynamic. Second, It has mixing of the instruments as the characteristic of the melody. Third, It has extension of instruments as using sequence.
