Abstract
Purpose: The Purpose of this study is to analyze the type of space where users’ stay is concentrated in order to plan the social healing environment of the public space on the ward. Methods: The investigating users’ behavior is conducted centering on the place where the users stay in the ward. Results: There is a correlation with the size and layout and the frequency of user for stay who are on the dayroom, the program room and the balcony in the ward. It is considered desirable to plan the layout of these places in a distributed manner without small area. As a result of analyzing the frequency of user for stay in the corridor, it is considered that the size of area does not have an effect and the type of single-side corridor is beneficial to build the social healing environment. Even if the court is planned, if it is not connected with corridor, it is considered to have little effect as the social healing environment. Implications: It is considered that the social healing environment that involves fundamental spatial change beyond the concept of healing environment limited to elements should be planned on the public space of the ward.
