Abstract
더불어 일회성 프로젝트형식이 아닌 장기적인 시각을 가지고 창의적이고 혁신적인 기획력과 적극적인 마케팅으로 무용공연의 창작 활성화를 위한 꾸준한 노력이 요구된다.|The purpose of this research is to investigate the roles and significance of collaboration in dance performance and explore the ways of facilitating creative choreography. Collaboration is considered the creative process of choreography through multidimensional approaches while breaking away from conventional aesthetics. Participating artists in collaboration are able to endeavor experimental, unprecedented trials in their work by sharing culture, artistic value, ideas which naturally attract new as well as existing audiences. The major findings through the analysis of the three performance art pieces including Mukhyang, Vortex, and Bulssang are as follows: Mukhyang performed by the National Dance Company of Korea sees the collaboration with Kuho Jung, a Korean fashion designer, who pursued a variety of new, unconventional trials in harmonized and balanced interaction with theatrical art, music, stage costumes, movement as its art director. Vortex is the first collaboration work with the foreign choreographer in the history of the National Dance Company of Korea which is uncomparable in its variety and senses of expression to the Korean dances. Bulssang by the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company communicates the visionary effect with floor-filling statues of Buddha and baskets and chic costumes as well as hearing effect by live music performance. The collaboration with other arts such as music, fine arts, stage costumes and Buddha as main motif stirs genuine interest of audience. Recognizing that collaboration is not an ultimate end but an effective tool to attain the common goal in performing arts through the analysis, this research suggests the ways of collaboration from the perspective of both choreography and marketing in an effort to establish the infrastructure of creative choreography and facilitate the choreography of dance performance. From the choreography, the horizon of collaboration should expand to different arts with leading artists invited to collaborate. In this vein, the collaboration with overseas artists and site specific arts need to be promoted and the exchange among artists through residential programs are recommended to maximize the synergistic effect. In term of marketing, the link between performance and marketing shall be strengthened with the art work more exposed to the public together with the one source multi use method. Given that dance arts need to reach out to other social and cultural issues and collaborate with other arts so that more people can appreciate and enjoy dance performance, the collaboration will play a critical role in creative choreography. The successful collaboration requires relentless efforts to stimulate creative choreography of dance performance through out-of-box, innovative planning and marketing not to end up with the arithmetic type of collaboration or one-off collaboration projects.; The purpose of this research is to investigate the roles and significance of collaboration in dance performance and explore the ways of facilitating creative choreography.
