세 가지 유형의 분절법과 이들의 상호 비교를 통한 무조음악 분석으로의 접근방법 연구

Abstract

20세기 초 쇤베르크의 작품에서 새로이 나타난 음악경향으로 무조음악이 있다. 무조음악을 분석하는 데에는 기존의 조성음악을 분석하는 방법을 적용시키는 것이 어려웠다. 따라서 알렌 포오트의 집합이론을 이용한 분석법을 필두로 여러 가지 새로운 분석법이 연구되었다. 특히 모든 음고들이 동등하게 취급되어야 하는 무조음악의 특성 때문에, 분석의 가장 기초적인 단계인 분절법의 연구가 좀 더 집중적으로 이루어져야 할 필요성이 생겼다. 이러한 인식은 이전의 이론가들의 선행연구를 통하여서도 알 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 연구들 중 구별되는 세 이론가들의 분절법을 소개하고 비교한다. 첫 번째로, 집합이론을 연구하였던 포오트는 분절법에 관한 연구의 필요성을 언급하고 세 종류의 분절법을 제시한다. 두 번째로, 크리스토퍼 헤이스티는 “도메인”이라는 포괄적인 분절 기준을 제시하여 보다 심도 있는 연구를 하기에 이른다. 세 번째로, 필자가 윌 오그돈이 쇤베르크 작품을 조성적으로 분석한 논문을 바탕으로 연구한 분절법을 소개한다. 이후 이들의 분절법을 세 종류의 범주에 따라 비교하게 된다. 각 분절법의 특징을 상호 비교하여 새로운 정보를 얻게 됨으로써 이 연구는 무조음악을 좀 더 자세하게 분석할 수 있는 기반을 만들어줄 것이다.| An Atonal music appears to new tendency of Schoenberg’s works in the early twentieth century. It is difficult to analyze the atonal music applying a method which has been used to analyze the tonal music. So several new methods were studied, starting with the analysis using a set theory of Allen Forte. Since the pitch equivalence is a important feature of atonal music, the study of segmentation basic steps in atonal music has to be studied. This awareness appeared to precedent studies. This paper introduces segmentations of three different theorist and compares among their theory. First, Allen Forte, a theorist who studies the set theory, suggests the need to research of segmentation and three contents. Second, Christopher Hasty presents "domain" which is comprehensive standard. So he can in-depth study. Third, I introduce the segmentation studied tonal analysis in an atonal work of Schoenberg by Will Ogdon. And then compare those segmentations in three different kinds of categories.
