Abstract
본 연구결과를 통하여, 감정노동이 우울 및 수면의 질의 관련성을 확인하였으며, 치과위생사의 우울 및 수면장애를 예방하기 위하여 감정노동을 관리할 수 있는 방법 및 교육 프로그램개발에 힘써야 할 필요성이 있다.| Recent studies show that adverse health effects can be caused by emotional labor among workers in a wide range of industrial fields, and dental hygienist has been known as one of the highest risk group of emotional labor. This study aimed to investigate the present condition of emotional labor and the association between depressive symptom and quality of sleep among dental hygienists. By questioning survey, data were corrected from 224 dental hygienists worked in a dental clinic, a dental hospital, general hospital and a university hospital located in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do Province from February 15th through to March 15th, 2016. The mean score of emotional labor was 33.14±5.55 and had statistically significant differences by the level of education, position, physical condition, with or without of arthritis, backache and neckache. For Depression, the mean score was 19.20±10.45, and by age, marriage, working hours, exercise, physical condition, arthritis, backache, neckache, respiratory disorder, headache and gastroenteric trouble were statistically significant different. For quality of sleep, the mean score was 7.49±2.82, and were statistically significant different by marriage, physical condition, arthritis, headache, respiratory disorder, skin disease and varicose vein. Pearson correlation analysis showed that emotional labor, depressive symptom and quality of sleep have positive correlation. When emotional labor increase, depressive symptom also increase and quality of sleep decrease. Quality of sleep, emotional labor, physical condition, age, exercise, respiratory disorder, working experience were significantly affecting to depressive symptom and quality of sleep were significantly related with depressive symptom, varicose vein, respiratory disorder by linear regression analysis, The results of this study indicated that emotional labor is correlated with depression and quality of sleep. This study highlights the necessity to develop emotional labor management strategy and education program in order to prevent depression and sleep disorder of dental Hygienists.; Recent studies show that adverse health effects can be caused by emotional labor among workers in a wide range of industrial fields, and dental hygienist has been known as one of the highest risk group of emotional labor.
