고전 시대와 낭만 시대의 음악이 교과서와의 연관성이 적은 것은 교과서에 수록되어있는 음악 이외에 다양한 곡이 많이 연주되기 때문인 것으로 나타났다.| This study aims to inquire into not only actual condition of participation of adolescents in music concert, but also the correlation between their music preference and youth concert. For the purpose of this study, a questionnaire survey on actual condition of participation of adolescents in music concert was carried out and youth concert was analyzed. Moreover, based on the results, this study inquired about the correlation between youth concert and music textbooks of high school of the music curriculum of 2009. Research problems of this study are as follows: Firstly, in there any correlation between music preference of adolescents and the music played in practice in youth concert? Secondly, how are the youth concert programs and form of musical performance which are currently underway? Thirdly, is there any correlation between the music interpreted in youth concert and the music included in the music textbooks of high school? The study proceeded in the following manner. A questionnaire survey was conducted oriented to 200 high school students regarding actual condition of their participation in youth concert. Then, the music pieces played in youth concert from January of 2015 to December of 2015 throughout one year in 12 different concert halls have been investigated and classified by period, composer and form of musical performance. In the last place, so as to inquire into the correlation between the music pieces interpreted in youth concert and music textbooks, the music pieces included in 10 different music textbooks of high school have been analyzed. The research results can be summarized as follows: Firstly, based on the inquiry into actual situation of participation of adolescents in youth concert, the highest rate was with students who attended the concert one or two times a year (70%), and the biggest reason of their participation was because of school homework. Secondly, among all the music pieces played in youth concert, the highest number of composers turned out to belong to the age of Romanticism. Moreover, more than 50% of music pieces belonged to the ages of Classicism and Romanticism. Music pieces pertaining to other periods were played with relatively less frequency. Thirdly, the music most interpreted in youth concert turned out to be <Four seasons of Buenos Aires> and <Libertango> of Piazzolla, followed by <Hungarian Dance> No. 1 and <Hungarian Dance> No. 5 of Brahms, <Eine kleine Nachtmusik> of Mozart and <The Carnival of the Animals> of Saint-Saëns. Fourthly, the music most preferred by students turned out to be popular music, but popular music has been scarcely played in youth concert. Among classical music pieces, students preferred music of the age of Romanticism the most. In fact, music of the age of Romanticism was played with most frequency in youth concert, followed by music of the age of Classicism and that of Modern and Contemporary ages. Fifthly, according to the survey on the correlation between the music interpreted in youth concert and music textbooks of high school, the result shows that the connection rate was only about 33%, therefore, it turned out that there was no strong correlation between the two. The highest connection rate with textbooks appeared to be music from the Baroque period and Nationalist School. The reason why there is not strong correlation between music of the ages of Classicism and Romanticism and textbook music can be found from the fact that youth concerts interpret a variety of music pieces apart from the music included in the textbooks.; This study aims to inquire into not only actual condition of participation of adolescents in music concert, but also the correlation between their music preference and youth concert.
