Abstract
본 논문은 타악기와 실시간 전자음향을 바탕으로 한 임선정의 작품 <“Mont” for Two Percussionists and Live Electronics>의 분석으로 이루어져 있다. |This thesis analyzes Sun jung Im’s <“Mont” for two percussionists and live electronics>. The work, “Mont”, consists of two parts: a percussion part and a live electronics part. The percussion part is for two percussionists that have two different instrumental charactersitics and the live electronics part is simultaneously controlling and modulating pre-recorded synthesized sounds and live percussion sounds in real time. The name of the work, “Mont”, represents a mountain in French but has a connotation of ‘piling one on top of ther other’. The work, “Mont”, is live electronics sounds that pile up synthesized sounds and modulate the pile of the sounds and live percussion sounds together in order to produce sound changes by time. The work, “Mont”, is a live electro-acoustic music since this work does not only include the percussion part that expresses the idea of this work, ‘piling up’, but also includes the live electronic part that produces new harmonized sounds by controlling and modulating pre-recorded synthesized sounds and live percussion sounds together in real time. This thesis analyzes what musical effects are produced by live electronics that simultaneously modulates different percussion sounds: percussion sounds with spectral scales, percussion sounds with special playing techniques, and rhytmical percussion soudns. This thesis also analyzes how the musical effects meet the idea of “Mont”, ‘piling up’.; This thesis analyzes Sun jung Im’s <“Mont” for two percussionists and live electronics>.
